The "why does someone need this or that in a given place" argument is a bit hollow in that it is almost impossible to enforce situationally. In a courthouse or high level government building.. I get it. Places where prison sentences are given out or legislated into existence is going to be bring out the crazies. However, besides that... seems like if you are going to have a second amendment and the ability to conceal carry then may as well make it virtually ubiquitous. Its not like someone is forcing you to own the gun and carry it.

Well the more unsafe a place is like most of the red states the more you feel the need to carry a gun. Red states lead the top ten unsafetest places in America so they feel the need to protect themselves from other gun owners. .

If you wish to get political you should point out that the urban areas run by democrats are pushing those numbers.  Next, the discussion is centered on Concealed Carry Permit holders.  I'll bump the post that explains they are among the most law abiding among us.

Red states have 44% mote violent cri.e than blue states. That's just a fact. The top ten most deadly states are Trump states. That's just a fact.

Most of these state have very lax gun laws. And push for less. So I'm sure communists get guns also.

I am not the laws lawyer but I do agree that no one needs a gun in a hospital except a hood rat, the police or securety.

Detroit had 252-gun related homicides for 2023!!!  The libs in Detroit are promoting that number because it is down from last year ... that is how bad things are.  Almost all of them were with illegal and non-licensed weapons... . All of those cities have the strictest gun laws ... 

In the real world:
A kid is arrested for possession of an illegal firearm.  Between give the kid another chance, or 3 strikes and you're out, or any other bleeding-heart lib program and kid is released from jail before the LEO completes the paperwork.  The police see this and stop wasting their time making arrests for illegal firearms... The crooks know the rules better than anyone & see nothing will happen to them and they score another weapon before the day is done... 

I would suggest your "Most people don't like to break the law" statement isn't worth the memory space you use on this server ... as it just doesn't matter ... You can get a legal gun and have background checks, or you can score an illegal gun ... in the end there is no difference ...

The bad news for California Concealed Carriers is that the state just put out a list of places that a gun can't be carried in or at.
Like 26 different types of places.
