The issue at hand is, OTHER THAN paying your taxes as required by law and good sense, why should you - you personally, as a human being occupying space in time here now (tip of the hat to Omh) - why should YOU "support" a military that does not represent you, protect you, work for you? Why?

I'm not saying you have to BLAME someone. I'm not saying a corporal is RESPONSIBLE for his superiors' misfeasance of duty. I am asking why YOU would ever consider that military "your" military, when it isn't where YOU need it to be, protecting YOUR border?

Let me break it down further for you. You're not particularly rooting for either side in the Yemeni conflict, are ya? Both sides are pretty much nothing to you - right? So if this side's military or that side's military has a success or a failure, you don't give a ****. Agreed?

Now, here is what I am suggesting. If the United States Tranny military got six of its ships and 500 of its men and two of its bases blown to **** tomorrow, I am asking why you should give a ****, since it is not YOUR military? Since it doesn't protect YOUR border?

If our border is being invaded, and our tranny military is AWOL, then what good is our tranny military?

Beyond the Insurrection Act, the Calling Forth Act (Article I Section 8 of the US Constitution) adds the term “invasion,” providing Congress with the power to call “forth the militia to execute laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions.” There is precedent for federalizing the National Guard under the Calling Forth Act and even using the armed forces for such purposes. With that context in mind, the president may use such incendiary terms deliberately to justify his use of the armed forces at the border, or even to justify his eventual calling forth of the National Guard—and it is entirely legal.
