If you think a Sec of State of a state can remove candidates from a ballot then it changes everything.

A republican can say Joe Biden committed treason by getting $$ from China through his son.
Or he's not protecting our southern border so he's working against the safety of the American people....

A republican can remove Biden from the ballot.
Has Biden been charged and convicted of a crime?
Nope !
Nothing!

But under YOUR rules he doesn't have to be...
Some politician makes the decision for the entire state.

And that's what we have here...
             Agreed...

Ms. Bellows doesn't have the authority to interpret or enforce the 14th amendment on the behalf of her State.....  She acted unilaterally, and I can only conclude it was because the Maine Courts told her they would not be doing so, because they understood they lacked the legal basis to remove Trump from the Ballot and Election.

how did he disrupt the certification?

Trump has been charged with four crimes in the investigation. Two relate to the disruption of Congress’ certification of the electoral vote on Jan. 6. One alleges a scheme to defraud the United States through a sustained effort to impede the collection, counting and certification of votes in the 2020 election. And the fourth charge accuses Trump of a conspiracy to deprive citizens of a right secured under federal law — specifically, the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted.

your logic is anything but logical. he is being charged with disruption of the certification.

The 14th Amendment of the Constitution includes a clause that prohibits anyone who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the U.S. government from holding elected office if they had previously taken an oath “to support the Constitution of the United States

You're apparently quite happy to say any ludicrous crap that flirts thru your empty head.

Step back, examine yourself, and wonder if it's just menopause that has you all flushed and out of sorts.

Hard to prove insurrection

if he  really wanted them to be peaceful he would have tried to get them to stop.
