Engaging in conversation and open discussions is always good, but there are boundaries. Disseminating misinformation, endorsing conspiracies, or engaging in disrespectful behavior or flat out being obnoxious and slanderous? Not my preference. It's not an issue of free speech; it's akin to verbal assault and suggests a dearth of maturity and education. Besides the US Constitution was not created to grant abusive bully's the right to carry on being hateful and slanderous. I won't entertain such discourse. I respect the people I am conversing with too much to ever treat them in such an abusive and unethical manner.

Just to clarify, when I used "patient" earlier, I intended it as an adjective, not a noun. Kudos to those who responded with intellect and kindness – much appreciated. Allow me to share a brief account: During my time delving into ad illustration in Chicago, my cheap, rundown tiny apartment was adjacent to the L train. Holding a conversation amidst the train passing every few minutes proved challenging at best. Yet, over time, I adeptly tuned it out, treating it as mere background noise. This forum shares a semblance to that. I'll prioritize meaningful conversations, relegating the rest to background hum.

Hats off to the insightful responders. Pleasure meeting you all, and I'm eager for more enriching discussions in the future. Cheers!

I have been trying to figure out how to write why I pulled a disappearing act without going into too much detail. But after thinking it through, I figured, "What the hell, just tell it like it is," and so be it. Shortly after joining this social forum and beginning a news journal, our son died. My wife and I were devastated and heartbroken, and I just didn't feel like doing anything online or off for a very long time. We pulled through, my wife and I leaning heavily on one another at times, and we also had the challenge of now caring for our granddaughter, who our son raised by himself. His wife left him, and they divorced when our granddaughter was not quite a year old. Anyway, it has been a little while, and things are starting to move along better, but we still are very sad at times. But everyone we have talked to says it really never goes away, and besides, I am not sure I want it to. I never want to forget the love we have for our beautiful son. So, now you know our story. Sorry for any confusion, and I should have spoken up right off the bat, and I apologize for that lack of transparency. I will try and get that news journal going again now. Anyway, talk at ya later and thanks for asking.

Here is some instinctive free advice. Genetics has always eternally separated the numbers of humans occupying time as evolving here since conceived. Your granddaughter is 50% the DNA of your son, 25% each of you and your wife while at the same time your son and granddaughter are 100% uniquely lived and alive.

You lost your son, but compounding chromosomes you still have continuity with eternal life after you and your wife die with your granddaughter. Humanity teaches people to ignore how evolving actually works as adapting to the moment equally alive. You are intellectually controlled by those defining how to stay in character cradle to grave to maintain reasonable doubt life is self evidently here.

Should your granddaughter become a mom, you and your wife become 2 of 8 great grandparents at the same time your granddaughter becomes a mom.

Living is an eternal change process leaving nothing adapting in space the same results again. That is what evolving has always done, and humanity educates ancestries to disavow that self evident result each ancestor has a sense of only living proportionately here while social minds promise better tomorrows each rotation of the planet and in real time evolving, there never was a tomorrow to be had.

I empathize with your emotions losing your son and it sounds like he was your only child, I hope if he had siblings, you and your wife really need to stop discounting them for still being alive after your son's death. Intellectual martyrdom of one child over the rest really screws up those left behind same as you are still breathing.

Again, I am assuming you only had a son, the rest was concern for anyone being neglected. Life goes on, self evident results are self evidently here regardless one doesn't believe actual evolving eternally separates active reproductions native to this atmosphere regardless plant or animal, predator or prey nature, asexual, male, female ancestral displacement, generation gap, ancestral lineage so far, race, creed, color, national origin, academic training, artistic interpretation, political leaning, spiritual conviction by reasonable doubt used over and over, economic status, social justification, geographical point of occupying the moment here.

Understanding how evolving works naturally is much more rewarding than being part of a reality defying life in real time honoring ideas that never match one's sense of being unique rather than exceptional, exempt, special from the rest adapting in space living never same results twice in series parallel time spontaneously alive simultaneously here since conceived with the total sum chromosomes of your genetic lineage from inception of this species, not conceptions of anything else is possible.

Power of suggesting life isn't self evident corrupts absolutely each generation gap since dawn of civilization and vernacular tribalism laws ordering compliance to chain of command order with rank gets privileges those sacrificing biological time to serve humanity pretending life is more than adapting in space now.

Individual brain navigates time, social minds believe life is more than occupying the moment here.

FREE SPEECH is just that- FREE SPEECH. Your definitions of things you don't like or want are **** and another LWNJ attempt to control what is said. Since you seem to not know, WE THE PEOPLE have a RIGHT to FREE SPEECH. YOU have no right to dictate what is FREE SPEECH nor any right to not be upset by it.

So take your OPINION and go elsewhere if you don't want to hear things that might cause you to be triggered or wet your diaper.

That's one of a couple of possibilities for sure.

The best I can tell there are three serial soks on this forum... and by that I'm referring to a poster that is constantly creating new accounts and screen names after looking stupid and getting stomped under their old names.

Bruce was Justfuchinwitcha, and some of the same patterns do match as well on this one... he also went by the name Chance on .org before Margaret/Jesfuchinwitcha and claimed to be writing a thesis, so there is that too... so it certainly could be.

I really think this usa360 is another one of Lincoln Nebraska's many other sok accounts though.

The lag between the account's creation and the emergence on the forum is the biggest tell for me. This guy literally has dozens if not hundreds of accounts created that he's never used before just sitting in the wings here. He did the same thing at .org

He's also claimed to have soks on all sides of the political spectrum and has befriended members under one name, while fighting with the same members under another name. I'm sure he's even argued with himself from time to time as well.

I'm not sure of his motives, but the guy is definitely a loon.

He kinda reminds me of Cannonpointer.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but in the obviously fragile state you currently reside in since dealing with such a tragedy, my honest opinion is that this is not the forum for you at this time.  However, I think you would find that those submitting obvious misinformation are quickly dealt with here by the members, not by any policing, and most often in not very pleasant language. It's called their freedom to disagree with you in the manner THEY seem fit, not you.

But try it if you wish, and you'll quickly learn that for yourself.  My guess is you'll get contrasting opinions on whatever subject you choose almost immediately, and if that kind of response isn't to your liking, we'll all learn of your your inability to accept valid criticism and you'll leave of your own volition.

Yes, the idea that the Democratic Party is, for example, a pro-labor party is a lie in itself. Biden's signing of the bill that blocked railroad workers from striking in 2022 is enough to prove that. Biden's anit-labor position also begs the question of why right-wingers dislike him.

It's plain to see you are clueless about the Fairness Doctrine, which was a thinly veiled attempt at subsidizing the failing liberal presence on AM radio.

The Fairness Doctrine was created in the public interest to counter NBC's, CBS's, and ABC's monopoly television audiences. And it is challenging to imagine that any aspect of the most popular form of communication in 1949 that of AM Radio needed to be "subsidized." Indeed, the Fairness Doctrine was harnessed to affect radio in the early 1960s, when the Kennedy and Johnson administrations used it to counter the monopolization efforts of their opponents.

Instead, eliminating the Fairness Doctrine in 1987 and the passage of 1996's Telecommunications Act paved the way for the Right's near-total monopolization of AM talk radio. Ergo, if anything, it was the dismantling of the Fairness Doctrine that significantly bolstered right-wing "hate radio." That is why it is now possible to drive hundreds of miles throughout the midwestern and southeastern U.S. and hear nothing but right-wing talk radio on one's AM radio.

Moreover, the Clinton administration's Telecommunication Act of 1996 has served to consolidate ownership of AM and FM radio into the hands of a handful of corporations. Two mega-corporations, Clear Channel and iHeartMedia, currently own 2,072 AM and FM stations in nearly each of the 287 radio markets in the U.S. That reality begs the question of why political reactionaries dislike Bill Clinton when, for example, he paved the way for "hate radio's" near-monopolization of the airwaves.

Finally, since the Fairness Doctrine served progressive/working-class interests, its dismantlement served the material interests of Clear Channel, iHeartMedia, Viacom, and a very few others since, overall, the interests of corporations are not the interests of workers. However, since virtually all political reactionaries are workers, one should question why working-class right-wingers cheered the Fairness Doctrine's demise.

Except to say that trade agreements such as NAFTA rather than undocumented immigration are what have negated America's sovereignty, I agree with CannonPointer's assessment. Our flag looks much like the East India Company's flag because the American flag was modeled after the East India Company's. And, yes, George W. Bush's "keep shopping" comment on 09.12.01 was indicative of the globalized and imperialist nature of America's capitalist system of exploitation.

Interestingly, CannonPointer understands that the decimation of the Fairness Doctrine served corporate interests while simultaneously supporting Trump's presidency. Like all presidents, Trump served corporate interests over that of workers. His massive and socially destructive tax cuts for the capitalist class and its corporations, his anti-labor practices, and his corporation-serving anti-environmental policies made his administration a quintessential capitalist-class serving entity. I wonder if CannonPointer would care to unpack his seemingly contradictory stance concerning Trump.

There is nothing fair about simple compounding interest, ancestral positions, and perpetual balancing out of incoming details creating results never duplicating total sum achieved here now, on the universal scale again.
