You do know that North Korea hasn't been in an actual war since 1953, which was a stalemate.  The NK military is actually made up of skinny, starving slaves who have never been to war; and who's leaders have never even been to a real military academy. 

Me and my shooting buddies have more military experience than all of North Korea.  And, I've never been in the military!

The Kalashnikov design is old, archaic and "third-world.  Nearly all of the designs you mention above are Kalashnikov designs.  The Kord is a clunky belt-fed machine gun reminiscent of what Americans designed in the 1910's.

It's the 21st century and Russia is stuck making guns designed prior to 1950.

You put too much stock in modern small arms when the only thing that matters is the Competency of the people using them.....
and I doubt our tranny military is better trained than Russia or North Koreans ....in that respect.

Here's my position on that.  Yes, competency and training matter.  But, you can tell a lot, and I mean A LOT, by a nation's firearm designs.  Russia's firearms are all based on the designs of one man - Mike Kalashnikov, a 7th grade, Kazakh dropout.  Having said that, he did invent an effective, easy to manufacture albeit crude rifle platform.  The Russians, having no other firearms inventors/designers stuck with that design forever.

The AK is far from "perfection".  The stamped receivers flex like a 14 y.o girl-gymnast's torso when fired. The milled receivers were heavy, yet slightly better. They are difficult to scope without modification and the adjustable iron sights suck corpse-titties. 

Every other industrialized nation has made advances in their small arms, except for Russia. The Czechs, Swiss, Germans, Italians, Finns, Pols, Israelis, Americans, even the Japs.  The English and French are lagging behind, but they still produce some half-decent small arms. The Chinks are still stealing other country's designs.  Mexico - their machinists must all be drunk on Tequila.  Canada steals other country's designs as well - freaking disappointing.  Spain, once upon a time, made some decent guns, but they must have been invaded by hoards of retards.

If a country can design and manufacture a fine firearms, then it can likely produce other good products as well.  That's just the way it goes.

Competency and training is all that matters ....
you can have the best firearms made in the world at your disposal but one well trained marksman will still kill you from a km or 2 away and you wouldn't even know what hit you ....

more then the entire combined West.  Especially artillery.

You don't get it.  A nation's firearms is an indication of its industrialized innovation.  Not a 1-to-1 correlation by any means, but still an indication.

And, do you know what country takes the "prize"?  Switzerland for military weapons with Germany a close second, Belgium 3rd and a tie between Czech and Israel.  England for O/U shotguns, with Italy second. Best engravers are by far in Italy.  Handguns - Germany, Swiss, U.S., Czech in that order.  I chose Germany because it has more diverse designs than the Swiss.
