****.  There aren't enough Americans to harvest the crops in California's Central Valley.  They would prefer to stay on welfare than to spend their days in the broiling hot sun bent over a row of vegetables for the wages that the farmers pay them.  And if the farmers HAD to pay them a wage they would be willing to work for, the American consumer would scream bloody murder at the high cost of produce.
