Remember, folks. This guy calling others "filth" has insisted that his own estranged wife and estranged daughter have a duty to allow naked men in their showers - and to pretend those men are women, if they command it.

You won't find any. The man is a stable genius. He may not have run a perfectly gaff-free administration, but it was the MOST gaff-free in history. He was the healthiest, wealthiest, most intelligent, most fit president ever - more fit than George Washington. And that is not taking anything away from George Washington. It's just recognizing the fact that a man who graduated in the top of his class at Wharton is probably gonna make a better president than a guy who goes in for things like wooden teeth. I mean, what's next - wooden nickels? I wooden doubt it.
Now we are sliding into the political arena, so let's go there. The general idea of how a country best works, according to the smartest person I now (me), is that liberals (not leftist fascist dick suckers but ACTUAL liberals like the smartest person I know) come up with a hundred ideas, ten of which are actually good and maybe three of which actually make it into the polity in the form of legislation. What stops those ideas good and bad, is the 90%.impartialobserver » 10 Jan 2024, 6:46 pm » wrote: ↑ so if we have a population of 100 and 90 of them are "away motivated" or risk averse.. their ways/attitudes are going to shape the society and economy more than that of the 10 that are toward motivated. We did an experiment in grad school where we offered a person $1 right now, no questions asked or $3 tomorrow if they could correctly answer certain questions. Of 85 participants.. 77 took the $1 now and only six of the 77 had even a few seconds of hesitation.

I have observed in my life that a country can exist perfectly well without liberals having a voice in it. Franco's Spain is a great example. But that country will be boring, and whereas it will not starve, it will never be great. For greatness, ya gotta have some liberals and they gotta have a voice.
On the other hand, a country without conservatives with a voice is doomed. You're living in one - you have been for most of your life, The last time conservatives in America had a voice, Jimma Cawduh was president. The republican party was taken over by neocons with the election of ron reagan.
The last time we tried that as a nation was the gingrich clinton marriage, and it was undertaken smack in the middle of such a profound and genuine tech boom that we will never know what might have happened without that rare event putting wind in its sails.impartialobserver » 10 Jan 2024, 7:15 pm » wrote: ↑ My comments are more based on psychology and human nature which then filter into politics in an indirect way. I can't say with any certainty which side, Liberals or Conservatives, is more prone to be "away-motivated". How it manifests IMO is different. A liberal will show it by living in a city where there is high levels of access to whatever they could want and so less uncertainty in their life. A conservative will live in the rural area because there is less to account for. No traffic, little if any crime, and no opposing viewpoints. I will say that our current endless credit card ways are purely a function of being "away motivated". To actually cut spending would be a brave new world few want to try.
