Oh, I get it. 

Boomers grew up with (JOO controlled) tee vee so the fact there are ads around doesn’t seem to faze them all that much…until it gets obnoxiously overwhelming (which seems to be the case here…I wouldn’t know since I’ve been using Adblock since the 2000s)

un necessary complexity like I just did with my GF's heat / defrost fan control wiring. I wired in a "hard start" toggle switch that bypasses all the fancy automated controls that are prone to failure and require complete dismantling of the dashboard to get at.

Those Rams drive trains can do 200,000 but here is a example of one of my problems:

The heater / AC switch broke. So I took it all a part and than tried like MOFO to find a new switch. The prices were thru the ceiling and even for used ones they were $100 ish. I finally got a guy on the phone who liked to talked and he told me all the new switch's were brought by some MAFIA company (with stitch control) and 90% of the go only to dealers.

It sounds far fetched but at the time the guy sounded like he knew what he was talking about. It was great...I stayed on the phone with him for almost a hour and let him do all the talking. He explained to me stuff like why the same parts might have (eg) a E on the part number and stuff like that.

It's replacing the highly specialized and vehicle specific switches that make keeping these older cars roadworthy a chore.
What you want to do is to send the current carrying "power feed" wire of the heater fan through a high enough amperage relay..and use a standard duty toggle switch at the dashboard to energize  the relay. When the relay energizes,  it has an internal switch that allows current to flow to the fan motor.
Let's say your heater fan is originally protected by a 25 amp fuse..then you want to choose at least a 25 amp relay [or higher] to act as the actual switch that feeds  the heater fan.
To control the relay you will only need 18 gauge wire that travels up to your dashboard mounted toggle switch. 
Do all of your heavy duty circuits [like your headlights, engine electric fan, electric fuel pump and even your ignition switch] similarly.
with a full sized truck you have plenty of room  for a  plastic kitchen cutting board to mount your relays. Cut the board to size with a hack saw and use sheet metal screws to mount the relays to the cutting board.
A toggle switch panel you'll find  on-line or else make one from a 2 inch wide by 4 foot long piece of aluminum ruler you can get at Harbor Freight. 
Do not ever buy or use HF automotive fuses though...they will cause more problems than they solve.
Always buy BUSS brand fuses and good quality toggle switches...not the plastic Chinese crap.
Wire nuts work just fine for automotive splices [if done correctly] and HF wire nuts are OK. I think they sell an assorted size pack.
Otherwise you want to make the connections with "ring style terminal lugs" and use a pair of wire strippers and a  "lug crimper" to handle that chore.
HF insulated wire is OK too. I would not use it to wire up a missile silo or to do the controls at a nuclear power house, but that wire is good enough for a car.

10 gauge wire for  30 amp loads  [like a heater fan or headlights]
12 gauge wire for 20 to 25 amp loads
14 gauge wire for up to 15 amp loads
16 gauge for up to 10 amp loads
18 gauge for up to 5 amp loads. this is a easy to work with size to go from your toggle switches down to energize your relay coils

HF Tyraps are OK. 
9 out of 10 MAGA RIOTERS agree that HF Ty-raps were good enough to almost hang Pence and seize control of the US Government with.

I go to Autozone and the store manager there is a super goes to church guy / bossman.

I am friends with one of his friends so I always talk to him. Anyhow he gave me a guys # who only takes on special customers and is a Einstein of wiring older trucks. In the mean time....I figured the problem out (loose wire) after about a hours' worth of work.

FYI: I got into a unnecessary disagreement with the asst manger. When boss Terry found out about it he made the guy call me and make sure everything was alright. I said no big deal it is over with. He said OK...thanks....your a good customer and we appreciate your business.

They pack customers in because that is how the store is ran. They go out of thier way to help you.

VERY VERY FEW actual Libertarians even exist.  Its a 'boutiquey' word many cons like
to apply to themselves cuz it sounds cool and independent thinking.  But as you dig deeper
they are actually big govt war liberals who still seek for WASH DC to control the world.

Its a bit like when a Repub is president, then suddenly liberals are all anti-war advocates.
But, they really are not.  They simply would rather a Dem Pres control the war machine.

Autozone used to have a great loyalty program. I think they gave you $20 of credit every time you bought $160 worth of stuff.
Once they scrapped that program I lost interest in going the extra distance to their store.
