And the old saying of "All politics is local" is very true. How life is locally for the voter almost always dictates how they vote.

Good to know. Remember, this is why I caution posters NOT to post things like your career, college, medical issues, etc when this guy around. He will use it to mock you, disrupt your threads, and attempted insults.

Inflation Proves It Is Not Dead Yet as December Rate Hits 3.4% Annually
The uptick in December was more than economists had expected and shows how sticky inflation can be.
US News & World Report By Tim Smart Jan. 11, 2024
The December monthly increase in the consumer price index came in at 0.3%, up from the 0.1% gain a month earlier, according to the Labor Department’s release on Thursday. On an annual basis, inflation ticked up to 3.4% from 3.1% previously.
“Today’s report is a reminder that it will take time for inflation to fall to the Fed’s 2% target. With core inflation still near double the Fed’s target, we remain skeptical that the FOMC will cut the overnight rate as soon as the March meeting,” said Phillip Neuhart, director of market and economic research at First Citizens Bank Wealth Management.
The People’s Inflation Is Still a Big Problem
For many Americans, the word describes the struggle to make ends meet, not just the change in consumer prices.
Bloomberg January 2, 2024 By Kathryn Anne Edwards
How stupid do you have to be to see the rate of inflation under Biden is STILL more than 2.4 times that it was when your diaper boy took office, yet still believe the economy is doing great?
U.S. inflation higher than expected in December as food and housing prices run hot
CBS News January 11, 2024
Higher rents and food prices boosted overall U.S. inflation in December, a sign that the Federal Reserve's drive to slow inflation to its 2% target may be a bumpy one.The Consumer Price Index grew at an annual rate of 3.4%, according to the latest report from the Labor Depart, a 0.3% rise from the 3.1% annual inflation in November, and 0.2% more than the 3.2% economists expected. Excluding volatile food and energy costs, so-called core prices rose just 0.3% month over month, unchanged from November's increase. Core prices were up 3.9% from a year earlier, down a tick from November's 4% year-over year gain. Economists pay particular attention to core prices because, by excluding costs that typically jump around from month to month, they are seen as a better guide to the likely path of inflation.

If you want to discuss firearms laws and safety, I am pretty good with them. The history of the M16? Pretty good with that.
As far as my service all you know is I was an NCO, but not which rank. You know a couple of my duty stations but not all and you definitely don't know my deployments. No one here does. You have a vague description of what I did during my time. So, as I said, you know very little about it. And I did answer that one question you chased me for days to answer. We're experiencing the worst surge in the inflation rate in 40 years since Biden stole the election, but according to a dope like you, that has no effect on what people spend their money on.
Instead, economic morons like you praise a new way to calculate the economy that you think will prove to anyone what a great job Biden is doing, huh?
Use both hands to yank your head out of your *** and try to grasp the reality, fool!

Be sure to post the next set of numbers calculated in another new way to convince liberal dopes like you how great the Biden economy really is, if only we were smart enough to realize it!

According to a recent survey from Rasmussen, nearly half of Americans are singing the economic blues under Biden’s watch. The survey of over 1,100 Americans found that a whopping 45 percent say they are worse off financially compared to a year ago. Ouch! Talk about hitting Americans where it hurts.
But wait, it gets worse. Only 23 percent of respondents say they are better off economically, leaving a depressing 22-point gap. It seems like Biden’s promise of a brighter economic future has fallen flat for many Americans.
Oh, and let’s not forget about the 29 percent who say they’re just treading water, barely staying afloat financially. They’re not feeling any better off than they were a year ago. Looks like Biden’s economic policies are sinking faster than a leaky boat.
Inflation, or as Biden’s critics like to call it, “Bidenflation,” is a major culprit for this economic downturn. Consumer prices have been on the rise, with a 3.1 percent increase in the 12 months leading up to November. That’s not exactly pocket change. And since Biden took office, consumer prices have skyrocketed by a whopping 16.8 percent. Ouch!
Sure, wages have increased a bit, but they’re still falling behind the rising tide of inflation. Average hourly wages have gone up by 14.3 percent since Biden took office, but that’s still two-and-a-half points below the inflation rate. It’s like trying to swim against a strong current – you’re just not getting anywhere.
It’s no surprise that Democrats, known for their rose-colored glasses, are more likely to think they’re better off under the Biden administration.
Thirty-nine percent of Democrats say they’re doing fabulously. But when you look at Republicans and independents, the numbers tell a different story. Only 18 percent of Republicans and a mere 13 percent of Americans not affiliated with a major party can say the same. Looks like the Democratic bubble is in full swing.
And let’s not forget about the racial divide. Black Americans seem to be singing a different tune than their counterparts. While 32 percent of blacks feel worse off economically, a staggering 45 percent of whites and 55 percent of other minorities share the same sentiment. Looks like the Biden administration has some explaining to do when it comes to economic equality.
So, there you have it. Bidenomics has left many Americans feeling like they’re drowning in financial woes. And with inflation on the rise and wages falling behind, it’s no wonder they’re not exactly happy campers. Maybe it’s time for the Biden administration to start listening to the American people and get their economic act together. Just a thought.
