There is a big Amish market about an hour from here. They have shops open daily and do a big open market on the weekends at various times of the year when the produce is producing and the weather is cooperating.
Very nice selection of homemade eats and goods. Good salt of the earth folks.

We have Amish that do barn raising every so often. I like to go watch them. They are very crafty people.

The Amish are good people,
and put out some great home cooking.... There's a famous Amish Restaurant up in Sarasota in the west coast of the State called Yoders... They have a big Amish community there who are bussed down in the winter months for a little R&R.... You see them playing Shuffleboard and riding their bikes...

I remember walking 1.2 miles every day to the bus stop 50 years ago in any weather without fail. Exactly, as did I. Riding the big yellow taxi to school was my main motivation for getting a job at 15 so I could buy a car and not have to do that anymore.

Where I am originally from, we have a lot of Amish
the stores even have covered parking for the horse and buggies
but what I liked most about the Amish is
they are religious as hell
