If you just keep the EV for the life of the car, you'll come out ok. Same could be said for cars with over 100K miles on them. If you can squeeze 200K miles out of your car, you've done just fine even if you got $0 for it. So, same goes for EV's. And so the sales of EVs has dried up
This means, ultimately, next to no one can afford an EV... The iPhone purchasing model is not infinitely expandable in our lives - next to no one can afford to buy a car and throw it away a few years later, any more than they can with a house

The 775 was my return trip from Cape Canaveral in Oct of 22. Driving between 80 and 90 on the way home pulling some of the small hills on 95.
The Prev. 1 was my total miles from Nov Thru May 23. Avg 51.4 mpg.
The 6409 is what I avg from June to the end of Oct. warmer weather and almost 55 mpg.
This year it has been colder and I will Luck to avg 49.

LOL! The fact that its a stick shift means it won't get stolen. Even most mechanics under the age of 40 don't know how to drive a stick shift. I watched one try to pull it into a Tires Plus - The old guy at the desk had to come out and drive it into the bay for the kid who was going to do the tires.

I did the exact same thing, except it was in the summer in broad daylight...I parked the truck out in the driveway...pulled out of the garage not looking because "nothing is ever back there"...smashed into it...oh, and guess what? Insurance companies don't cover you hitting your own vehicle...I know...I inquired..

That's over 2x what my Jeep will get. I'm lucky if it gets 19.5mpg on the highway. Plus, I get the added pleasure of picking up another glass-ding/crack every time I drive it 500 miles. The angle of the windshield is such that I have to replace the glass about once every 2 years. I think I'm on my 6th or 7th windshield.Huey » 21 Jan 2024, 1:58 pm » wrote: ↑

Yeah, I'm pretty much agreeing with you. But, I'm adding that if you buy an EV new and drive the tits off of it, the residual value shouldn't matter.
