There is a large span between those making January 6th the one and only thing that occupies their mind and those who "don't care about it".

The Sergeant at Arms reports to Pelosi...which makes her ultimately responsible for security.

You will also recall that the Sgt at Arms very conveniently turned up dead after the riot and before he could be called in to testify as to why Trump's offer for National Guard troops was turned down.
