Read the biographies and interviews of most white rock stars from the 70's to now.. and you will see the same names mentioned as being highly influential to them.. Little Richard, Otis Redding, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett, Chuck Berry, and George Clinton.

Wiggerism is NOT adopting black musical influences.  

The term Wiggerism is specifically and only related to white kids
adopting black culture, slang, clothing styles of

Years ago I did quite a lot of electrical work in a couple high rise buildings where most of the occupants were Jewish Jewelers. 
I was amazed at how casual  they were about transporting briefcases full of diamonds from street level parking up to  their tenant spaces. 
I got to watch a little bit of what goes into taking a raw gem and turning it into a finished product.
It doesn't take much in the way of tools....but the amount of skill and good judgement is amazing.

Imagine taking a raw gem and figuring out  how to maximize it's value..and then start striking it precisely where it needs to be struck to create all of those geometrically positioned facets

Yeah, its some kind of weird skill set, I'm sure.  But, so is watchmaking and engraving.  Imagine creating this on the sideplate of a shotgun or custom knife with a hand graver....Firmo Fracassi,

I don't think White Rock Bands that recycled  "Black Blues"  created very many Wiggers.

Improving is subjective. Of course, it is not going to sound the same. A modern recording studio vs. that of the 50's and 60's will inevitably change the sound. Also. a lot of these white guys who were influenced by the blues.. had more resources available so they can afford more studio time and better studios. Anyways, it is just one example of how we look for ideas/inspiration from others. The black athletes tend to be more flamboyant and extroverted.. hence how their ways get more notice.

Yeah I'm a pretty good sketch artist but that's a whole 'nuther level right there...[assuming that this was done before computer assisted art work was invented]

My  main point is that very very few Wiggers were ever created by listening to Led Zeppelin or The Allman Brothers.   
When I was in the Army the Blacks were always the first to run out of money [and reefer] before payday.
There was this one Negro Troop who would come pay a "social call" to  the White Wing of our barracks a couple days before pay day.
We'ld be in there smoking dope and listening to groups like Led Zeppelin, Allman Bros, etc and getting high. 
Of course we would share our weed with him, he was after all a pretty nice guy who would share with us when he could. 
It was great fun to see his reaction to our music after he was sufficiently loaded...."I SHO DO LUBS ME SUMMA DEM LED ZEPPLINS MAAAN...DEY BAD...!!!"

If rockers are going to look to the blacks for inspiration/influence.. it makes sense that other non-rockers will do the same in non-musical pursuits


I am about as big of a music fan as someone will ever meet. None of my favorite artists are black. Why? I am a fan of rock music and they are not as well represented. Second, I mostly gravitate to dark or angry content. Blacks, for one reason or another, do not express themselves in such a way. They tend to be more about celebrating life and love or in the case of hip-hop.. bragging about their money, guns, and women.

Firmo and his daughter Francesca create these engravings 100% by hand. They use a technique called bulino.  They are the best - have taken this type of engraving to a level not reached by any other engraver in the world.

$210,000 at RIA auction for this shotgun engraved by Firmo Fracassi - and that was probably a steal!
