I find it funny that right wingers don't have a problem.that right wingers are making Doe the same way.
The right wing handlers don't tell them that the right wing is using the same leverage and laws to make bank also. Lol
This is one area where we can find some agreement. By the way...liberals will whine when republicans do the same thing. Do I think we should try to reduce things like this from happening? Yes. I just don't see an easy way to do that. People don't forfeit their rights when they get elected to public office. And you cannot take away the rights of others just because they know someone who holds a public office.Bidencrimefamily » 26 Jan 2024, 9:29 am » wrote: ↑ All legal. Don't like it change the law.

Unless you have something to tie Pelosi's investment to insider knowledge resulting from her government position, I see this as just throwing **** up against the wall to see what sticks. Now, I hate Pelosi, and I'd love for her to hang for real corruption. But, throwing stuff like this out without being able to tie it back to something she knew in advance muddies the water.Z09 » 26 Jan 2024, 9:12 am » wrote: ↑ Just lucky I guess.....

Just curious, but honest question; What laws are being broken? Please provide the cite in the US Code.michaelf » 26 Jan 2024, 9:34 am » wrote: ↑ Not true. There are lots of us that want to drain the swamp...the swamp is full of "establishment politicians". And don't be fooled. Pelosi and the like are breaking plenty of laws but they are above the law.
As I understand it, the way insider trading laws are currently written they do not cover information given to members of Congress. Granted, Congress crafted the law but I honestly don't see what they could change that would solve the problem.Skans » 26 Jan 2024, 11:17 am » wrote: ↑ Unless you have something to tie Pelosi's investment to insider knowledge resulting from her government position, I see this as just throwing **** up against the wall to see what sticks.
