Well, YOU said they were breaking laws.  So a "blue collar guy" who states that is either able to cite the laws they are breaking, the source that supports his comment or is simply making **** up.  Which is it?

I know that running a stop sign is breaking a law but I have no idea which statute. Likewise I know that various forms of insider trading are illegal.

Apparently you also like comparing apples to locomotives.  FYI...currently insider trading laws do not apply to members of Congress.  It is also very difficult to get someone from insider trading.  One of the things covered in the business law classes I took that really stuck with me is a comment from an attorney (brother of the professor) who came in to answer questions when this topic was being covered.

Assume you are on an airplane and find out you are seated next to the CEO of Boeing.  If he mentions, during casual conversation, that they are about to be awarded a trillion dollar contract with someone and you go buy as much as their stock as possible, you are not guilty of insider trading.  However, if after you find out who he is, if you buy him a couple of drinks and learn about that contract while pumping him for information, you are guilty of insider trading because you made a concerted effort to get information not available to other traders.

Yep...and not likely to change anytime soon.  Personally, I think I would be opposed to changing that.
