I have always maintained that homosexuality is not a choice. I say that for a few reasons:

1. I personally never chose to be straight. I just always was and still am. There was never any conscious effort that I made to commit to heterosexuality. Therefore, it seems logical that homosexuals didn't make a conscious effort to commit to their sexuality either. 

2. If social environment does indeed persuade one to choose one or the other, then it would seem reasonable to observe that the siblings of gay people should also be gay, given that they were all brought up in the same environment. However, this is not the case. Yes, there are examples of course, but it is rare. 

3. If we take 'attraction' on a general level, just broadly speaking, it is hard to nail down why we are attracted to certain physical traits, be it for straight or gay people. I love redheads, but not blondes for some reason. I don't know why, redheads get my dick hard, but blondes don't really do it for me. Yet, some love blonds but find red heads disgusting. Some men love 'asses' more than 'tits', some don't. Some women love broad shoulders, some don't. Some like tall, thin, others like thick and curvy. Whatever. The point is that with all the variables that come with attraction, we have a difficult time nailing down why. Thus, it would be reasonable to say the same about sexual orientation.

I have two opinions on this. so. I will clump them into two groups.
the first group...
These are the folks born that way. They are slight freak of nature. It could be a mixed up chromosome thingy. I find these types to be the quiet ones. They live their lives quiet. they know they are attracted to the same sex. but never shove it in your face. these are the nice ones. they cant help it.

the second group...
I think these types are either influenced by a fad- or maybe grew up young in a messed up family... maybe no male influence in their lives. these tend to be wild- looking for attention and dress up like clowns. they flaunt their gayness. a choice.
these are the types msm is pushing.
but most of the quiet gays- the decent ones- don't like them either.
my quiet gay uncle- who is a very nice sole- hates them.

Exactly. I don't know why the hell anyone would want to pretend that they are gay. Who the hell does that? Maybe it's for the attention because they will be different. I don't know.

Investigate the why behind the want. Why do we want to screw certain people or genders , but not others. The why part can't be learned. I don't know any parents who deliberately raise their kids to be gay. Yet, they end up gay anyway. Why? They didn't learn it from the parents.

my gay uncle is old.. I talk about him all the time. And I'm the only one in the family who wouldn't be a smart arss about it. They're all dead now. Its just me and him. He tells me things i really don't want to hear.
But it's interesting. so i listen.. and learn.

Interesting. That's why I want to hear different perspectives on it. I am not saying I am right, I could be dead wrong about it. However, I haven't heard convincing arguments that it is a choice from people.

I don't think they did. Three in a normal family- 2 boys and my mother. 2 straight- one gay. Came from a normal family- married couple. that would be the quiet ones.

I read something the other day about 30 percent of gen z identifying as homosexual. That's a fad!  The IN thing to do. What do you think about THAT? learning that in college and trying to fit in?

ha ha ha.. i played with boys toys.. I watched baseball and collected all the cards.. i never turned. I out grew that tomboy phase.   and set my sites on men. LOLOL
