Explain how someone is going to know who you are unless you volunteer that information.

• Cross referencing with other forums, facebook and twitter.
• Using malware, spyware and click-bait to discover someone's open email account.
• Research John The Ripper or Aircrack-ng
• Keyloggers

Doubtful that Z09 was sophisticated enough to do any of this.

I think she was there while I was there. I sort of remember her, but had very little interaction with her.  I've never been a mod, so I stay out of the fray when it comes to forum back-stabbers.

She was the type that wouldn't stop. lol
She moo-ed.
She got me moo-ing back at her.
And it reached 98 posts.. I had bells and whistles ready for post 100- and then she stopped.  
lots of the guys would moo at her too.

I used to interact more with some doper-chick, Zaro, before dot-org shut down.  Way way back in the dot-org days, when the insurance guy owned the board, I would have at it with two forum members: Gomi and Sesara.  They were living together or married, claimed to be wicca practitioners - way out in left-communist field.  They guy, Gomi, seemed ok - he was into knives.  The woman was wacked - she was a real asshole.  I wonder if they are still together?

Anyway, at one time I was able to figure out who they were, then I realized I really didn't care.  I wouldn't doxx them though.  Besides, I'm fairly harmless.

That's too much work.  Anything I know about any poster was from info they posted themselves.

That's likely.  Here's a question for you.  If he did, say years ago on this forum or dot-org, do you think its right for someone to be using his personal info in addressing him here?

For you and normal people, you're exactly right.  But, you never really know who's lurking around on internet forums or with whom they are affiliated.  While Trump was tweeting his fingers off, there was a hoard of left-wing twitter employees using this to the Democrat's advantage.  In fact, the FBI was actively engaged with Twitter and other social media to manipulate it, and I'm sure to attempt to gather information on those they perceive as "threats".

What I take issue with is that maineman claims he never volunteered his personal info.
You won't see him answer my challenges for him to explain what he claims is his "Immaculate Doxxing"...either..

I don't recall Maineman doxxing himself.  But, I do remember when Jinn doxxed himself.  Posted all sorts of photos of himself over on dot-org.

That's a fair point, but I also remember Maineman doing the same thing with a poster that lived in N.Carolina....he posts here under a different name,  maybe he'll chime in.
