They’re all functioning off of internet rumors of what’s in the bill, and many of them are false,” he said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “So people want to be able to just see it, read it, go through it, and to be able to see the dramatic change that this really makes and how we handle our immigration system and how we work to be able to secure our border completely.”

According to a new congressional report, at least 3.3 million migrants have been released into the country since Joe Biden took office. Of the nearly 6 million illegal alien encounters at the southern border from Jan. 20, 2021, to Sept. 30, 2023, at least 3,095,577 illegal aliens had no confirmed departure from the United States. The “at least” qualifiers are important as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials admit that recent release rates are even higher, averaging 5,000 per day.
Additionally, the report’s 3.3 million figure does not include the more than 1.7 million known “gotaways” who have eluded Border Patrol under the Biden administration.
