He was yuge in the 80s. The angels lost a lot of cache in the 90s, after the roe generation came of age and didn't go a-wilding. The criminals would at least think twice about pulling their monkey shines in the patrolled areas. Instead the criminals would shift their focus to "softer targets" where mostly unarmed and helpless gunophobic Libtards are known to live.

There seems to be a conflict with what Curtis said and what the cops said. But, I remember back in 79 when they were created. People were happy to see them on the streets, and particularly in the subway. They felt safer.
