• Why didn't you ask Putin right up front about the agreement Russia signed with Ukraine over Crimea?
• Why didn't you go through a time line starting with the Russian takeover of Crimea using covert operatives and Russian military in civilian clothing?
• Why didn't you ask Putin about the Russian military that completely surrounded Crimea when it took it from Ukraine, in order to support separatists and Russian operatives inside Crimea?
• Why didn't you ask Putin his reasoning for invading Ukraine, after it was Russia who broke the agreement in taking Crimea?

There can only be 2 reasons, Tucker.  One, you were too scared to do a proper interview of Putin in the venue he chose - in other words, you got played bigtime.  Or, two, you are in the tank for Putin over the Russia Crimea war and you don't want to ask Putin the tough questions.

So, Tucker, I'm going to give you a pass here.  You generally do great interviews with hard hitting questions.  Interesting interviews.  I think you just got outplayed by Putin.  Yes, he did this on his terms and in his chosen venue.  You value your life, so you played along.  But, it made for a very bad interview.  Your worst one to date.

The so called history lesson was memorized from his recent address to his country. It was written for him. It’s not unimpressive, but it’s not impressive either.

Youre right, Putin outsmarted Tucker and the video goes out as another propaganda win, especially for those dumb *** who get a tingle up their leg and blow a nut they hear the name Putin.

I am less interested in HOW putin bitch slapped america and took crimea than I am in THAT putin pitch slapped america and took crimea. We pulled a coup on his neighbor - he was free to react however he chose - as you've learned. 

If Putin or Li did the same thing in Mexico, you would be the very, VERY first to justify whatever we chose to do. 

I am sad-but-not-surprised to learn that the history lesson I found entertaining, you found boring. I suppose you're accustomed to a certain flavor, where the head of state reads badly from a teleprompter whatever his real bosses have printed on it. I can see where having a guy break the rules to which you are accustomed could be unpalatable. 

That said, I agree that Tucker wasn't at the top of his game - likely star struck. He DID try several times to get putin to make promises, etc., but putin handled him very deftly. In each case, he just said, in effect, we have people for that - they're working on it; I'm not gonna interrupt their flow. 

Tucker got VIP treatment and adoration from the russian people, as the press there has lionized him for not being a typical anti-russian hack. It likely went to his head. 

As to the agreement putin signed after taking crimea, that was discussed at length. Putin kept the agreement. The nazis you support violated it by continuing to murder civilians. 

As to Russia "breaking the agreement" by "taking crimea," you would need to point to where russia agreed to have their primary black sea port fall into the hands of NATO by means of an american coup in ukraine. I was unaware of that agreement. Can you tell me when and where that agreement was signed?

The answer is exactly what I've said. In 1954, Ukraine was granted Crimea by the USSR.  In 2010, this old agreement was confirmed in another agreement, this time with post-soviet Russia, to extend a lease in exchange for recognizing Crimea as belonging to Ukraine. 

Crimea is not and never has been NATO.

There was no plan in the works to admit Ukraine to NATO, even if a couple of the countries would be in favor of this.  There was no agreement to do so. The Russians are indian-giver pigs who unilaterally renege on their agreements and treaties. 

Russia was unjustified in breaking its treaties with Ukraine and stealing Crimea.  Russia was further unjustified in invading and slaughtering Ukrainians in Ukraine proper.

For a guy who didn't like history lessons, you sure seem to be stuck niggling over other people's histories. But you're stuck in 2010.

You mean Crimea, I think.  Crimeans did not have the right to vote to join Russia.  Russia orchestrated this.  There were Russian operatives who forced the unrecognized "election".

The only way Russia would be entitled to Crimea is if Ukraine ceded that land to it, voluntarily or by treaty.  Anything short of this is Russia taking what it wanted by force from Ukraine.  Any "vote", regardless of how valid it is, does not give the land to Russia.  Not legally.
