Yes, there is actually recorded ownership records going back before Israel existed. These were Muslim owners who did not live on the land. You can go check it out for yourself.
I wondered the same thing, and after doing a deep dive into who owned what land, I discovered that much of the land (other than what was given to them by Brittan) was actually purchased from Muslim absentee owners. Now, run along and do your own research. Or not. I don't really care.
I'm not going to pull the deeds and records to support what I've said. You can check it out for yourself if you want. There may have been some squatters on that land who never had legal ownership, but the deeds show the Jews bought it. Believe me. Or not. I don't care enough to do your research for you. According to the Haqel/Kerem Navot report, the plurality of eviction orders were issued against Palestinians for planting trees, greenhouses and other agricultural cultivation, followed by eviction orders against “massive development and cultivation” and “preparing land/breaking ground/fencing” respectively. The concept of state land is based on mapping that was carried out before the establishment of Israel, during which some 148,263 acres were registered in the name of the “state” — the British Mandate at the time. These lands were then transferred to Jordan after 1948 and then to Israel after the 1967 Six Day War. Israel withdrew from some 17,297 acres as a result of the Oslo Accords in the 1990s, but the vast majority remains registered to the Jewish state. The Defense Ministry has also seized an additional 168,031 acres of West Bank land since 1967, similarly declaring it to be state land.Roughly 55% of the total territory covered by the eviction orders between 2005 and 2018 fell under these classifications of state land.

- The "palestinians" were squatters who did not own the land.
- The jews bought the land and were the record title owners.
- The "palestinian" squatters (actually, just bedowin arabs) NEVER owned the land. Other, wealthy, absentee Muslims owned the land.
- The jews purchased the land from these Muslim absentee owners.
- The jews did not want the palestinians on the land they legally bought.
- So, they brought them to court to force them to show what entitlement they have to the land, otherwise get evicted.
- The squatters could not show they were entitled to the land - so, they got evicted.
Dude, you don't know what the **** you're talking about. Two different subjects entirely. There is the land that was given to the Jews by the Britain. And, then there was additional land that Jews purchased in the West Bank and Gaza from Muslims. Land you say they should not have, but which was legally purchased. Land the so-called "Palestinians" claim to is only as squatters who got evicted from land that did not belong to them.jerrab » 13 Feb 2024, 9:11 pm » wrote: ↑ declaring it to be state land is not buying anything.

I'm talking pre-1948. In 1948, Egypt, Transjordan, Syria and Iraq invaded newly formed Israel PLUS those lands legally owned by Jews adjacent to Israel (Israeli Settlements), in an effort to exterminate all of the Jews from that land. Israel fought back and captured some land from the aggressors. Now, explain to me why Israel should have to give back land to enemies who attacked them with the intent of eradicating them from all of Israel and land the Jews lawfully purchased?jerrab » 13 Feb 2024, 9:15 pm » wrote: ↑ -----------------------------------------------
In its Village Statistics, 4/ the Mandatory Power estimates the total area of land owned by Jews in 1945 to be 1,491,699 dunams, compared with about 13 million dunams owned by Arabs in Palestine. This disparity with respect to the ownership of land persisted until the country was partitioned in 1947, and it provided arguments for the Members of the United Nations Organization that were opposed to the partition plan.5/ One of the features of the partition plan for Palestine was that the Arab populations in both states envisaged in the plan should own and enjoy most of the land (see Annex I); the role played by land in the formation of the State is no secret. This disparity between the Arab and Jewish populations with respect to land ownership disappeared after the military operations of 1948, when land and whole villages belonging to Palestinian Arabs fell into the hands of the State of Israel and its inhabitants.

Again. One more time. Start a war with the intent on murdering people to take their land. Then, lose the war. Pay the price and expect to lose some of your own land.

Oh, so now you don't want to talk about what you brought up concerning who owned what land pre-Israel? You want to switch topics to something that supposedly happened over 70 years later? I'll take that as though you have conceded all of the points I've made in rebutting your claims that Palestinians have some "right" to lands belonging to Jews.jerrab » 13 Feb 2024, 9:42 pm » wrote: ↑ -------------------------------------------------

If you want to debate me on something that happened in 2023, then set out the topic to be debated and I'll consider debating you on that. But, don't bait-and-switch me in the middle of a debate. Because, that makes you the loser of that debate.

Go read some actual history books and then get back to me.
Fatwas which prohibit the sale of Palestinian land have been given by various scholars at various times, even before Hamas existed. Below are references to some of these:عن الشاطبي: أن بيع الشمع لهم ممنوع، إذا كانوا يستعينون به على إضرار المسلمينAl-Shaatibi said: (Even) selling them a candle is forbidden, if it helps them in causing harm to the Muslims— شرح الكبير للشيخ الدردير وحاشية الدسوقي
First, it is not true that all other territories remain Occupied until today. Second, all of this land was captured in wars started by Egypt, Syria and Jordan in a war started by these 3 Muslim nations in an attempt to exterminate the Jews and take their land.jerrab » 13 Feb 2024, 10:13 pm » wrote: ↑ \--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Israel also occupied the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula and the Syrian Golan Heights. With the exception of the Sinai Peninsula, all the other territories remain occupied until today. In response, the UN Security Council members voted unanimously for Resolution 242 on November 22, 1967.The resolution stated that Israel must withdraw from the territories it seized in the war and formed the basis for all ensuing diplomatic negotiations on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the concept of “land for peace”.Israel, however, did not accept the resolution and continues to violate it to this day, over 50 years later, by building settlements on the territories meant for a Palestinian state.
So, now you acknowledge that Muslims sold land to Jews. Because, if you do the research, you can actually find the deeds to this land which predate 1948.jerrab » 13 Feb 2024, 10:56 pm » wrote: ↑ -----------------------------------------

The general rule is that a Muslim can sell anything to anyone. There are some exceptions to this, one of which is that a thing can not be sold when the purpose of the buyer is to do something haram by it. And among them is sale of some items to disbelievers who are at war with the Muslims and could use the item against the Muslims. In the case of Palestine it is not considered permissible to sell the land to the Jews since it causes harm to the Muslim cause and strengthens Israel's claims.

Israel returned all of the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt as part of a peace treaty. It returned most of what it captured from Jordan, except the west bank territory, which Jordan didn't want. And, it returned much of what it captured from Syria, except the Golan Heights. I see no reason for Israel to follow what the UN dictates. Israel is not beholden to the UN, and furthermore, Israel discovered that the UN was aiding Hamas in its war efforts against Israel.
I find it interesting and rather revealing that most Americans think the US should withdraw from the U.N. because it is a full of partisan ****-hole countries trying to take money from America and constantly telling Americans what bad people we are. But, when they tell Israel what to do, even when it was proven to be a part of the entity that attacked Israel, people like you fall all over yourself quoting what the UN says that Israel should do. LOL!!!
