It is explaining a significant part of the delta between inflation and food prices.

He has never understood that no matter the "reason" voters only care how much they are paying.  He is as tone deaf as Morning Schmoe defending the economy by telling people to look at their protfolios and 401ks.  Many don't have portfolios or 401ks.  If they have but are young, it means nothing.  Only the older folks really care at this point.  It is what they pay for rent, gas, groceries and home energy prices.
