VG was the guy who felt that a few truly unique inventions made by a few "full blooded" ****** is proof of intellectual parity between Blacks and Whites.
I went to great pains to point out to him that well over 10 million inventions and almost every single scientific field have been pioneered by Caucasians...[but he would rather look like a poorly educated and ignorant fool than admit he is full of **** and horribly brainwashed].
Once he ran out of failed and easily debunked Afrocentric rhetoric the best he could muster was "Well if Whites are so smart, why haven't YOU invented anything...?
That's when I had to break the news to VG that I invented an electronic "diode matrix" that solved a one of a kind problem that a hospital was having with meeting the NFPA Code requirements for main floor and alternate floor elevator recall activation. I didn't "invent" the diode matrix, but I "invented" a new use for one and it had to be approved by the NFPA before I could install it into the control panel.
Much more technical merit went into that than what went into Lonnie Johnson's "super soaker water pistol" which was nothing more than a reconfigured Sears weed sprayer....
That more less shut him the **** up...at least until his head was able to heal from the explosion and then his head filled right back up with **** all over again....

Why you go through great lengths to explain anything to him? He has the IQ of a frog. You will get nowhere.
