The cargo in a tanker full of crude changes ownership on average seven times before reaching its port.
I read that years ago in a Forbes-type publication. Even saying we buy North Korean oil seems possible.

It really is quite surprising to observe that they bought lock-stock-and-barrel into the financial/military paradigm they sold to us. They so heavily invested their thinking into supply-side economics that they literally empowered producers to tell them what they should buy. For that matter, they owe their jobs to those producers - so in reality, it isn't their thinking that is poisoned. He saw as the very first order of business the need for massive infrastructural investment - and this was in the 80s and 90s. His bugaboo was offshoring productive capacity. He particularly railed against exporting our tool and die industries - essentially, heavy industry.
As unlikely as I thought it to be, "our" leaders genuinely DID surround themselves with servile yes-men. Now that tab is due. The first time they confronted a real world power with a real physical economy instead of some third world state with an economy the size of Virginia's, the **** wheels have started coming off. And they are the last to understand it. They keep thinking that it CANNOT BE - that they are missing something - that if they just stay the course, it HAS to work. It always has! The numbers don't lie!
Every day that goes by, the cost of their folly increases. Russia's credibility rises and the empire's sinks. Russia's economy grows stronger and empire's grows more feeble. Russia's population base rises and the empire's shrinks - unless you count unassimilated zombie hordes of displaced people as "population" - LMFAO.

Brian Berletic (New Atlas) was talking about how China/Russia are PURPOSE DRIVEN,
which is why Russia never let its industry and weapons industry rust away. They can produce
enormous amounts of surplus without having to worry about PROFIT or STOCK PRICES.
The West industry and war industry is PROFIT DRIVEN. Thus it cant pour money
