Hasn't America farmed out getting its weapons from foreign governments. what was that contract a few years ago where France was building our nuke subs that was in the news?

Both submarine classes are fueled with U.S. weapons-grade uranium enriched to more than 90 percent uranium-235 that was declared excess to weapons needs following the drastic downsizing of the U.S. Cold War nuclear warhead stockpile. Both submarine types have life-of-ship cores, which means they should not have to be refueled during their design lives of approximately three decades.

The deal replaces one that Australia reached with France in 2016 under which Australia would have received 12 French Suffren-class submarines equipped with conventional propulsion rather than the nuclear propulsion used by France. In 2016, Australia did not wish to develop the infrastructure required to supply fuel for a nuclear-powered ship.1 France refuels its nuclear submarines every 10 years.

I don't see the hysterics but I do see the early symptoms of a meltdown on our part.  As I said earlier this is the Cold War Part Deux.  You got Ukraine.  You got Iran, Syria, etc.  Not at the scale of the cold war but it has the early signs.

The first group of Ukraine pilots is not schedule to complete training until summer.  AURORA, Colorado—Ukrainian pilots will start graduating from F-16 fighter jet training in May, the Air National Guard estimates.The first four pilots are “pretty close” to the end of their training, Air National Guard director Lt. Gen. Michael Loh told reporters Tuesday at the Air & Space Forces Association Warfare Symposium.The U.S. is training 12 Ukrainian pilots in fiscal 2024—all of whom are set to graduate between May and August, according to Arizona National Guard spokesperson Capt. Erin Hannigan.

I believe they are bringing some of the Ukrainian pilots to the U.S. for their training too... I think they are anyway.
