here is a simple solution, vertical gardening in the remaining space. oh don't do the pool, they are more trouble than pleasure. or you could put one of those custom ponds. where you could on occasions step into it. get a sauna and keep it covered when not in use. turn it off when not in use or you get cold nights and things could freeze if not circulating.Redheaded Stranger » 25 Feb 2024, 6:42 pm » wrote: ↑ It was definitely nice out today, and I think I may have over done it in the yard a bit. I usually do when Spring springs. It's all good though.
We built a shed last fall and are in the process of turning our detached two care garage into a backyard bungalow complete with it's own inground pool so, we got lots to do.
The only issue I have now is I'm have to sacrifice about half of my current garden space to make this happen. I'm definitely going to have to dig in on the green house research now.
We had a pool years ago so I know what's involved.Nostradamus'omh » 25 Feb 2024, 6:44 pm » wrote: ↑ here is a simple solution, vertical gardening in the remaining space. oh don't do the pool, they are more trouble than pleasure.

The thing about keeping a pool is to create an environment where nothing is hanging over the top of it, and tend to it daily. It usually only takes a few minutes a day to keep it good. Letting it go for extended periods of time is where you get in trouble with them.
Those two things typically keep it nice pretty much year round.
We're not doing a huge pool either. It's a semi sunken heated swim spa. Kinda like a cross between a hot tub and a regular pool... like this...
We haven't settled on the design yet of course.
