Commercial mortgage loan underwriting requires third party appraisals done by licensed appraisers, typically Members of the Appraisal Institute with the MAI designation. The owners opinion isn't relevant. I'm sure that is what was done in these instances.

What is going on in New York is political persecution designed to destroy Trump. It's also a warning to anyone like him.

The message is simple, if you don't share our political perspective, we can AND will destroy you.

I don't care which side of the political perspective you may have this ruling and its ramifications should scare the hell out of you.

These loans weren't issued by the commercial bank....they were issued by the wealth division, which testified that it DID NOT do full appraisals of Grifty's properties.

Yes, I remember the "turn in your neighbor" campaigns during COVID as well.

People being accosted in public for not wearing a mask... the cops arresting people sitting in the middles of an expansive park or on the beach.

It was nuts... and of course at this point, mostly forgotten.

People like this actually thought they were being good citizens.
