When America cut off all imports from China  from 1950 to 1972 it meant that millions of pieces of Chinese Rosewood furniture, rugs, drapes, clothing, junky toys and sporting goods, candles, hand carved statues, chandeliers, tapestries, fabrics and wall art never got sold here.
