Rep. Lauren Boebert feels her oldest son “should be held accountable” for his latest brush with the law as new details emerged about his alleged involvement in a string of credit card thefts.Tyler Boebert, 18, and his underage friends are accused of breaking into several cars in Rifle, Colorado, to steal wallets and credit cards that were used for purchases at local gas stations, Starbucks, McDonald’s and the online Chinese fast fashion brand Shein, according to court documents released Wednesday.ActionJackson » 29 Feb 2024, 9:48 am » wrote: ↑ New details are emerging about the crimes allegedly committed by Rep. Boebert was easily identified in surveillance footage due to the fact that he was wearing a sweatshirt that featured the logo of Shooter's Grill, the restaurant that his mother once owned with her estranged husband before becoming a congresswoman.
In total, Tyler Boebert was hit with four counts of criminal possession of a financial device; four counts of criminal possession of ID documents; a count of conspiracy to commit a felony; four misdemeanor counts of ID theft; three misdemeanor counts of first-degree criminal trespass; three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor; and three counts of the petty offense of theft of less than $300.

While stealing credit cards is never a good thing...it's probably a safe bet he/they didn't know about the brain tumor before the theft. They should still be punished, but that detail is just being used to make the crime (and him) look worse than it is.
