I don't know why people don't just turn around and sue these individuals for some **** the same as they do.

Actually, I think they set a goal to have net zero carbon emissions by 2040.  Can you, or the Black Manatee, show where the law requires they publish their plan now...especially when the goal is 16 years away?

What law have they broken? Making "misleading statements" in the press is not a crime.  There is no law that states they must publish proprietary information about business objectives.

What they are doing is PERPETUATING a LIE... and USING it to CREATE EXCUSES and FEAR... in order to:

1)  Raise Taxes,
2)  Raising Costs to Consumers,
3)  Implementing UN-Necessary Regulations, and ALL to
4)  Expand Political Power,
5)  GROW the SIZE of Government... 
6)  INCREASE the relative POWER of the Federal Government... and
7)  SHRINK the Power of "We the People" !!

I would call ALL of that: 1) ABUSE of Power,  2) Obstruction of Justice, 3) Fraud, and 4) Undermining Americans Constitutional RIGHTS under the LAW !!

If what she alleges is true, then she likely has grounds. The claim will arguably give them an edge over the competition with the climate loons, thus conferring unearned advantage through tortious fraud. 

To that company, I would advise: Hurry, stop being fraudsters.

But there IS civil redress for volunteering such statements in a manner intended to mislead consumers for a profit. That is why we have attorneys general. If they did what she claims and they failed to do what she claims, their *** is grass and the negress is the lawn mower. 

I am not such a fool as to favor trade with someone, even at greater cost to me, over such claims - but many of her constituents are. And if the allegations are true, those constituents have been defrauded in a manner for which our tort law provides redress..

There is no such law.

There IS law that if they benefit from a voluntary claim, they must earn that benefit, or it is fraud. 

If they do indeed have a plan in place, contrary to the AG's assertion, then that is both an affirmative defense and grounds for counter-suit. 

If they do not, then the AG is doing her job.
