CNNIn Europe or North America, if you dressed up as a Nazi there’d be outrage. In Asia, it could be just another day in class.

 A recent event at a Taiwanese school, in which students held a mock Nazi parade, led to an international outcry and forced the resignation of the school’s principal as well as prompting a public apology from the school.

 Students give the “Heil Hitler” salute and carry Nazi banners and insignia in photos posted to the internet, which also show a cardboard tank with German military markings.

 According to local media, the December 23 parade was part of a cosplay event, a common activity where people dress up as characters from popular culture.The Taiwan incident is not unique in Asia though – Thailand, South Korea and Indonesia are just some of the countries which have made headlines in recent years for similar controversies.

 This is because some young Asians just don’t see Nazi uniforms the same way their Western peers do, says an expert.

Not for war crimes...for daring to be opposed to global jewish power. War crimes have never incurred a death penalty...in fact they are quite ordinary. The allies were at least as guilty of war crimes as the germans.

The number of suspects that have been brought to trial is a tiny percentage of the more than 200,000 perpetrators of Nazi-era crimes, said Mary Fulbrook, a professor of Germany History at University College London.
 “It’s way too late,” she told CNN of the latest trials. “The vast majority of perpetrators got away with it.”

In her new book, “Reckonings: Legacies of Nazi Persecution and the Quest for Justice,” Fulbrook says that of the 140,000 individuals brought to court between 1946 and 2005, only 6,656 ended in convictions.


 

“Immediately after the war, there were the Nuremberg trials. But these Allied trials were seen as victor’s justice. This was, in a way, vilified and not taken seriously,” she explained.

Most Nazis were just following orders from superior officers.

I know the Joos don't like to hear that but it is the truth.

I would just do the tour, have a couple of laughs and a snack, and then take pics right before leaving.  Thumbs up.
