I tend to agree that which president is elected is about as important as what food you decide to eat on an airplane. But that only makes your obsession with trump even more mysterious. If you want to eat **** with glass then i suppose you can do that...but it isnt a very political decision.

Politics is about ideas and strategy...not about people. Some people on this forum (like yourself) seem unable to speak about any ideas or strategy...they can only speak about Trump. This is fundamentally apolitical...and it is a version of being apolitical that seems to be fostered by the media you consume.

In your analogy I personally am more interested in where the airplane is going and whether it will crash, for example.

If this were a normal election, I would agree with you.  I just happen to believe that, after what we witnessed for four years (2016-2020) and what we witnessed on January 6th, 2021, Donald Trump is SO FAR outside the bounds of normality that if we consider this as just another election, we do so at our peril.

I am far from pleased that my party has an 81-year-old man as its standard bearer.  I applaud his choices of cabinet advisors and I believe his genuine decency and his thoughtful demeanor will keep him between the guard rails for four years until we can get to the inevitable generational handoff that will come in 2028.  I am not at all confident that we can get there if the 81-year-old loses.  

Lets have Americans really have a vigorous debate between political philosophies championed by two young, intelligent, vigorous, charismatic, transformational candidates where we can all know our country will be in good hands regardless of who prevails.

I will say, the last time I felt that way was in 2000.  I would have LOVED to have seen a John McCain v Bill Bradley contest and was sorely disappointed that Bush was annointed by the RNC establishment and Gore just had the inside track because he was the VP.  If my choice in 2000 would have been Bradley or McCain, I know that I would have chosen McCain because he was always a personal hero of mine, but I loved BIll Bradley as a considerate idea guy and if he'd been a Celtic instead of a Knick, it would have been a total toss up.

Well that is funny. I don't think anything is unusual about this election at all. After all...from my perspective...both sides are just jews. I don't see how trumps policies were remarkably different from Obama (which was quite similar to reagan)...and to be honest I don't see how Biden policies are different from trumps. The most significant event was covid which caused a brief slow down in immigration...but I don't think either president caused that to happen.

if there is any dispute within the Jewish community it is between the chabad jews who support trump...who would argue that jewish power has reached a high point so they need to go ahead and hurry up the final stages of their agenda...versus the more optics minded jews who are concerned that rushing would provoke a global backlash that would threaten jewish power.

the interests of my own people (white people) are not relevant or considered in that debate. If I could pick a potential 'leader' (and presidents have never been anything like an actual leader) I suppose it would be something like Adolf Hitler...but I don't have such an option...so I am simply indifferent.

My grandfather was born in the back of a covered wagon in the Oklahoma land rush, orphaned, and on his own at age 12 which was when he stopped his formal education.  He was a cowboy and a hobo and then,  a bartender and then, a laborer at a wagon works in Arkansas and he ended up as the VP of a Fortune 500 company.  My dad was just as successful.   It's a family tradition that I not only have achieved but passed on to all three of my super-successful kids.  My breeding is pristine.  Yours?  not so much.
