However, feel free to keep using the "Everyone else did it" defense...it usually works so well for people in kindergarten.
I'm not outraged...I just think it's idiotic and has been since it was put in place.maineman » 02 Apr 2024, 8:38 am » wrote: ↑ Refresh my memory. I don't recall anyone being outraged when any prior president used those exact same guidelines. Why now?
But as a practicing Christian, I can understand how MAGA morons might be upset. Everyone recalls the story of how, on the third day, Jesus rose from the dead and wandered through the Garden of Gethsemane hiding colored eggs for his disciples to find. It is such a sacred religious event that Christian iconography should be REQUIRED BY LAW to be included in every easter egg coloring kit.

BTW, did any of the participants complain about the policy? I don't think so.

And nobody said Jesus wandered anywhere to hide anything...other the some blithering idiot that goes by maineman.

First, you need to look up the definition of outrage...in a real dictionary, not the Whiny *** Liberal Dictionary...because voicing an opinion does not equal outrage.maineman » 02 Apr 2024, 11:48 am » wrote: ↑ **** hypocritical to voice one's opinion only when a democrat does it, however.

Unquestionably, you've reached a new low with your depiction of Easter.maineman » 02 Apr 2024, 8:38 am » wrote: ↑ Refresh my memory. I don't recall anyone being outraged when any prior president used those exact same guidelines. Why now?

Consider yourself lucky that it's still in vogue to show as much disrespect for Christians as you choose, because you'd probably be thrown in jail if you exhibited such disrespect for a Muslim holiday! What's next for a dirtbag like you? Asking God what pronoun you should call Him?
Yes I'm pissed at the audacity of this administration to forbid a kid from painting a cross on his Easter eggs, but that doesn't compare to the outrage of tying one of the most sacred of holy days in the Catholic faith to include a simultaneous celebration of yet another day that we're supposed to accept the anti-Christian message of gays and transexual dysphoria as well. As if it's not enough that we're forced to share Father's Day with Gay Pride month in June, but this kind of **** will NEVER be accepted by the majority of this country no matter how hard they try to force it down our throats!

Did it ever dawn on you that people are voicing opinions because it is being reported? I don't remember it being reported under Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama or Trump. The liberal media apparently feels obligated (possibly directed be the DNC) to attack any conservative or conservative post on any platform that takes a shot at Sniffing Joe. Maybe your "outrage" over hearing opinions you don't like should be directed to the media for making this a "big deal". My suspicion is if they would have simply ignored the comments only about 0.5% of the population would have known anything about it.

First...I doubt any media outlet would report any of the kids had a horrible time. However, since any subset of the universal set will, almost always, have the same characteristics of the universal set, the odds are good some kids didn't have a blast. That is the reason sampling and polling are used. But that's neither here nor there.maineman » 02 Apr 2024, 1:02 pm » wrote: ↑ not at all. there were a whole bunch of kids there this year and, by all reports, they had a blast.
That doesn't change the fact that dying the eggs of chickens and rolling them about is not really part of any Christian doctrine or sacrament.
