You're right, thankfully I haven't yet had the need to ever defend either of my homes.
I'm in a very safe, guarded community in an upper-class suburb with very little crime.
Nevertheless, I won't leave the security of my wife, myself, or my property in the hands of anyone else.
And I don't relish the thought of murdering another human being as much as you seem to, but I have no fear of doing so if it becomes necessary to defend ourselves.
And I couldn't care less if you think that all I have is the hope that I won't have to use my gun when necessary.

I only suggest that when you say, "I find that my Mossberg Shockwave is quite adequate to hold off any of your nappy-headed ilk"  it is not an accurate statement.  You haven't FOUND any such thing yet.  

What you MIGHT FIND, Zits,  is that a large gang of heavily armed nappy-headed folks might turn you and your family into hamburger.  You should hope that isn't the case.

Why don't you worry about your neighborhood and let me worry about mine, OK?  What I can tell you is that I wouldn't have sat around doing nothing while I let those dozens of Democrat-supported BLM and Antifa members destroy my property like they did for months in Portland, Seattle, and a dozen other cities.  I'd be standing at my window with my gun at the ready just like the McCloskey's did in St. Louis.

And let me take a guess here. You're in favor of the McCloskey's being charged with crimes for defending their home, aren't you?

I know you would but in Portland, Seattle, and elsewhere they are not very 2A/self defense friendly.  The progressive running those areas would rather see you die or get hurt than allow you to defend yourself.

Thankfully I don't live in an area like that.  Here the criminals know where to go and where not to go.  As did the protestors.

If you're outgunned, it won't much matter.

And I have no problem with you standing at a window with your guns at the ready.  That is not what the McCloskey's did.  They stood outside in their front yard close to the sidewalk with their guns at the ready and yelled threats at the unarmed BLM folks walking by.  And, when charged, they pled guilty.  If they were NOT guilty, they should have fought the charges, IMHO.  I would NEVER stand up in court and plead guilty to a crime I KNOW I did not commit.  But that's just me.  YMMV.
