The times and mindset sure have changed over the years. I was happy to stack hay in the 90 degree heat for $2/hr. In high school and afterwards didn't have the luxury to pass up a job because of their mission statement. Must be nice to have someone else paying the bills while you leasurly seek employment.

This young crowd can think whatever they want, they just better understand the rules of the game haven't changed. You will bust your *** for the next 40-50 years and with some extreme luck maybe end up with a million in assets.

I agree this crowd has one hell of an uphill battle. Especially with this kind of retarded attitude about a corporate mission statement, the schools have successfully brainwashed plenty.  Reality will hit them upside the head soon enough.

If you don’t retire with $5M in NW you’re going to the poor house. Or some 3rd world country…  

”Millionaire” was impressive back in like…1985. $5M is the new millionaire.

Here’s MY solution:

Tell Gen Z to take a Time Machine back to the 2000s. Get a **** job doing ANYTHING - mowing lawns, pressure washing, handyman work, etc.

If you must go to college go to community college or trades. DO NOT GO TO A “UNIVERSITY!”

Save EVERY PENNY not going towards the bare necessities and invest in BITCOIN. Buy it when it’s 25 cents. Or a dollar. WHO **** CARES! - just buy it and NEVER sell until you reach your goal (whether it’s $1M, $3M, $5M or more)

Accumulate especially after those sharp and precipitous 70-90% declines. 

Now, how to get my hands on a Time Machine…

I respect Gen Z - as a generation. Individual results may vary.

My grandkids are 18 and 23. They have had a fairly hard experience so far in life. My step daughter flaked out a while ago and abandoned her kids when they were in school. Big Sis really stepped up and found them shelter and got them through the situation. We tried to get them to come live with us but they didn't want to relocate, all we could do is supply financial support. They made it through and patched everything up and actually are all living together battling the economic difficulties.

Hunter graduated last year and is currently taking college classes on a scholarship and working for Odom. Saving for a better reliable car to last awhile. Someone turned him onto Dave Ramsey which seems to excite him quite a bit. Being poor can be a great motivation to change things around.

They really are good people and had to grow up faster than a lot of kids. Yes, they are a bit on the woke side but awareness is not always a bad thing.

They have no idea what will come their way in the future, it will be life changing.

It's been almost 20 years ago I stated that "$60k will be the new poverty level", we are getting there.

The goal posts do keep moving, a mere million dollars won't make you feel rich.
