I didn't dig into the findings but I am willing to bet that the majority, if not all, of the participants in your study were over the age of 18 at the time of "transition".R.Suave » 16 Apr 2024, 12:11 pm » wrote: ↑ https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamasu ... le/2813212
Postoperative Regret Among Transgender and Gender-Diverse Recipients of Gender-Affirming Surgery
More on your study. Again, in the summary, there is no indication those studied were teens.
When I was in school, I had a political science professor give the class a little experiment. There were two variants and I will discuss them. The first was: you were to create a list of twenty issues that YOU felt were most critically important to the survival of our nation. And then, you had to prioritize/weight those from 20 at the top to 1 at the bottom. To the right would be a Democrat/Biden column followed by a Republican/Trump column. Then you would go down the list and, at each issue, you would "check" either the D/B column or the R/T based upon which party/candidate more closely reflected YOUR personal views on that particular issue.... and you would award the weighted point value for that issue to that candidate. The party/candidate that more closely captured YOUR personal views on the issue at the top of the list got 20 points. The party/candidate that was more like you on the second to the top got 19, and so forth, all the way to the bottom of the list. And once you got to the bottom, you'd run the tally and see, over the 20 issues that YOU felt were critical to the survival of America, which party was more closely acting on your behalf.Zeets2 » 16 Apr 2024, 10:26 am » wrote: ↑ 1)ly the point! You explain your position on current issues quite succinctly, that you're AGAINST every one of those policies I listed that are fully supported by Biden and your Democrat party, AND YET YOU STILL PLAN TO VOTE FOR BIDEN! That is NOT, "lying about your position" as you claim! It's stating the absurd illogic of your undying support for him DESPITE your claim to be against every one of those 5 issues that Biden has strongly promoted!
And that's the problem.maineman » 16 Apr 2024, 1:34 pm » wrote: ↑ On MY list that I create for myself, "trans athletes competing in girl's sports", "drag queen show and tell in schools", and "gender reassignment surgery" DO NOT MAKE MY TOP TWENTY.

In the second variant, if any of those three issues WERE on the list, they would occupy the bottom-most spots on MY list
So you can scream at me in RED INK about trans issues until you need to buy a new ink cartridge, I am NOT going to make my decision about what party and what candidate I support to take this country into the future based upon any of them.
And just so you know, I have not actually created the entire list this year although I have on several previous occasions, but I think I can give you my top five right off the top of my head:
national defense and global alliances
protecting the environment and addressing climate change
women's reproductive rights
reining in the increasingly lopsided distribution of wealth
maintaining a strong safety net
In my list, Biden and the Democrats beat Trump and the Republicans on all of them, and those five alone total to be 90 points. So I am not going to let Draq Queen Show and Tell make me vote against the party that stands where I stand on the issues that are most important to me, and I am not going to let you, Zits, paint me as some hypocrite because I don't creepily obsess about it like you do.
Let's see if you and I can make this post, the last time we have to enter any words into the keyboard in response to one another on the subject of Drag Queen Show and Tell. Mmmmmmkay?
Pretty-please?
of courae boys in girls sports is not even on thelist because they don't want people to express tneir feelings about because most people are dead set against it.maineman » 16 Apr 2024, 1:34 pm » wrote: ↑ When I was in school, I had a political science professor give the class a little experiment. The second variant forced you to prioritize/weigh a pre-determined list of issues but other than that, the process was the same.
And Zits: you need to listen to this very carefully and grasp its meaning.
On MY list that I create for myself, "trans athletes competing in girl's sports", "drag queen show and tell in schools", and "gender reassignment surgery" DO NOT MAKE MY TOP TWENTY.

"They", I was talking about MY list. And, as I have stated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I a dead set against it as well. I am dead set against Daylight Savings Time. I am dead set against the Designated Hitter. I am dead set against catsup on hotdogs. Have I got that about right? Because your list doesn't come close to what most voters in the country view as being important to them.
So go ahead and check off your preferences on #'s 6-10 and we'll get a far better idea of why you prefer Biden over Trump.
I'm only asking to understand your logic, because I see nothing that you most strongly believe in relates to that of most voters.

Don't, instead try to imagine what the second five are. Imagine 15. That was the drill. ****.
The economy and inflation are concerns, which is why am I glad to live in the nation on the planet that is recovering from COVID/Ukraine better than any other nation on earth, due to the leadership of Joe Biden.
The five I listed and that's all you'll get for now:
national defense and global alliances
protecting the environment and addressing climate change
women's reproductive rights
reining in the increasingly lopsided distribution of wealth
maintaining a strong social safety net.
and even if the list were the top five hundred issues critically important to the future of our nation, trans athletes in girls' sports, or drag queen show and tell, or unsupported spurious allegations of Joe Biden's supposed molestation of his daughter would STILL NOT BE ON THE LIST!
