Here's my thinking on why that may become a reality.
It's true that the Israeli defense systems worked beautifully in shooting down almost every missile of every type headed their way.
The problem as I see it is that the attack rockets and missiles being launched by they hundreds at Israel have an average cost of around $1000. 
However the anti-missiles needed to shoot them down cost upwards of a million dollars apiece.  And that cost of defense is probably not sustainable if say Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza all fired thousands of their missiles and rockets simultaneously.
That's a problem that may be down the road that I see Israel possibly being forced to counter with their nuke arsenal.

But for now, I think Israeli's best course of action would be to hit Iran's refineries and oil production infrastructure in order to immediately cut off their main source of revenue that Biden the idiot let them have by removing the sanctions on Iran.

And as for The US .......we know that the Iranians possess Nuclear ICBM's ....and have for over 20 years now .....
