FIRST... Paying off Stormy Daniels is ONLY a crime if taxpayer, or campaign funds are used... NONE of that happened.  So, THIS is just a HUGE effort by the Democrat LEFT to smear Trump in the eyes of the public... BUT...

There was a former US attorney on CNN yesterday (with Kaitlan Collins).  She was trying to get him to bash Trump for the payment, to comment on how damaging Stormy's testimony will be, admit it is very likely he goes to jail and rip the Trump attorney for saying in court, "I have a spoiler alert: There's nothing wrong with trying to influence an election. It's called democracy,"

He took them in order and pointed out an NDA is perfectly legal, Stormy's testimony is really not material to the case as the actual payment is not an issue in the case.  He also said, proving the falsifying of company records in furtherance of an additional crime is going to be very difficult to prove...and if they can't, the felony changes to a misdemeanor without jail time.  As for the attorney's comment, he told Kaitlan the attorney was 100% correct, influencing an election is not a crime.  If it were, every candidate (successful or unsuccessful) would be guilty of a crime the first time they ran an ad or criticized their opponent.  Every rally and ad is an attempt to influence an election.

I never said it was fact a conversation took place, I was merely pointing out that, given the number of people who work from Biden, it is certainly not outside the realm of possibility.  Especially since the conversation doesn't have to be between Biden and a DA.  It can be the result of passing comment (giving plausible deniability) by Biden to the AG, Chief of Staff, the Govenor of NY, etc. that makes it clear he wants something done...and they follow through.  If you don't think things like that happen in politics, you are much more naive than you appear to be in your posts.

And I undoubtedly have more time in the political arena than you do.  When I got out of the Navy, I worked for a time as Senior Staff to The State Senate Majority Leader.  At the time, given the fact that the governor was a Republican, he and the Senate President and the Speaker of the Maine House were the three highest ranking democrats in State government -  and the State AG was a former Democratic state senator and drinking buddy to the other guys.  I know we NEVER got rudder orders from Washington about ANYTHING.  EVER.  And if we had, it certainly wouldn't have been to micromanage a state criminal court case. 

For that matter, if you think "things like that" happen in politics, perhaps you can cite me ONE EXAMPLE in the history of our country where a President of the United States used back-channel pressure on a MUNICIPAL District Attorney to influence his conduct of a court case.  ONE TIME.  I'll wait.
