However, when you consider that, on a Tuesday in April, after their party's nominee had already been determined, 155 THOUSAND registered republicans in the Keystone State took time out of their busy day to tell their party and their country that they did NOT want the clown to represent their party. Nikki Haley got 155K votes and she had dropped out of the race more than a month ago. If you were to measure support for a candidate, those who were really positive about him would vote for him, those who were not so positive would probably just stay home, but if you were a registered republican, and you REALLY didn't like Donald Trump as your candidate, you would take the time to leave work, drive to the polling place, stand in line, go through the check in process, get in the booth and vote for a woman you KNEW would not get any delegates based upon that vote.
If you are one of those 155K Republicans in Pennsylvania who go out of your way to vote against the clown in a primary, I'm gonna say you're the kind of voter who will vote for Joe Biden in November. Trump only beat Hillary in 2016 by 44K. I'd imagine he's gonna need every GOP voter to stay the course and not bolt.

1. This is destined to be a relatively low-turnout election. The electorate is not excited about either candidate nor should they be. It's a rematch the people would prefer not to see, but, like it or not, those two old guys will be at the top of the ballot in November. Polling in April, in advance of one maybe two maybe three criminal convictions against Trump, and in advance of constantly improving economic numbers, is insignificant. What WILL be significant is GOTV and we KNOW that Democrats are better than Republicans in that regard, and we KNOW that 156K registered republicans are motivated enough to vote against Trump. The polls were a dead heat in 2020 and Democratic GOTV won the day. I expect it to do so again.

If I refrained from voting for a presidential candidate unless they supported everything I support and opposed everything I oppose, I would have never cast a single ballot for president. I chose which candidate and which party more closely aligns with my own values. It's called being an adult.

I for one never accused the clown of collusion. I only said that there was plenty of evidence that Russia had put their thumb on the scales and that Trump didn't seem to mind.
