You don't seem to have spent much time living in rural or farming areas of the country.  While I was born and raised in NYC I have lived in and around rural/farming areas for close to 40 years.  The dog was aggressive and killed poultry.  Next, the dog really wasn't a puppy.  Dogs are no longer puppies between 12 and 18 months.  

You need to live outside your bubble, junior.
