Of course, it was a dodge.  You didn't address the fact that giving the dog to an animal shelter was a perfectly reasonable and more humane alternative.  You only gave me a song and dance about rural and farming areas.

And yes, I would say that your default resorting to crass schoolyard insults is a sign of poor breeding.  Clearly, low class.

An animal shelter would have to tell prospective owners the dog's history, in which most cases would never be adopted...literally the same ending for Fido...

My son has a Korean Jindo dog.  She is seven years old now.  He has a fenced in back yard with a big white oak tree and the dog can roam around the yard unleashed.  A few years ago, a squirrel happened to be foraging in the lawn for acorns and the dog caught and killed it.  She did the same with a hapless groundhog that also came under the fence.  After three years there, she has killed a total of four squirrels and two groundhogs.  To the rodents in the neighborhood, the message is clear:  enter my domain at your peril.

My son, who loves his dog - and the dog is adorably sweet and loving to my son's cat, and my granddaughter -  usually takes the time to flash the back deck light on and off or to step out and audibly warn any rodents that might be in the yard that the killer dog is about to appear.   Squirrels and groundhogs don't come around very often anymore so the kill rate has diminished.

The point is:  my son took steps to limit the damage his dog does to rodents.  He did not take his dog out to a quarry and shoot her because she had tasted rodent blood on a few occasions.  

Noem's dog, Cricket, attacked a chicken WHILE OFF THE LEASH.  An alternate and humane solution would be to keep the **** dog on a **** leash when in the vicinity of **** chickens.

Now, as far as a shelter you would you are more upset over a vicious dog being put down than you are about abortion.  

You should be advocating putting a baby up for adoption instead of killing it in the womb.  It is a shame you place the life of a dangerously aggressive animal ahead of human life.

Howdy Buffalo....I think the best solution here is to NOT get the neighbors or the police involved....just quietly make the problem go away with a cross bow and then feed the problem to the hogs.   

A comedian talked about as a kid growing up on the farm, the kids would beg to keep any stray that wandered onto the property. Every time within a week, they "musta run off to somewhere better..." (always while the kids were away). It came out years later that the farmer shot 'em and buried them in the woods as they always went after the chickens or livestock...
