No society can truly succeed, thrive, sustain, whatever word you want to use if the flow of information is filtered. Folks can and should be allowed to decide what information/speech is of value to them and then decide what to do with it. I am not sure I need to keep beating the dead horse. Anyways, carry on and if there was ever a matter that came to vote infringing on this right.. I would vote against it.

But who would you even vote for?

at this moment, there are 'liberals' peacefully protesting Israel genociding the palestinians in gaza, and police are forcefully shutting down their protest. 'Conservative' politicians are supporting this draconian police action, pleading that this sort of protest causes jewish students to 'feel unsafe'. Exactly the same sort of rhetoric the 'left' was using to forcefully shut down anyone who was concerned about the fact that white people aren't allowed to have a country.

the oppression is bipartisan and it is quite clear whose interests it is intended to serve based on who gets persecuted and who doesn't (blm certainly didn't get in trouble for burning down cities...but if anyone says anything that would make jews unhappy, the law becomes activated)
