What I see in Maineman's posts are disgustingly clear, and it may NOT be solely the result of his blind love for Biden.

A person showering with his own young daughter (as MM has admitted) can't possibly ever face the reality of the abuse that another person (Biden) subjected HIS daughter to, without daring to admit to himself his own sexual predilections.  If he were to recognize and acknowledge the obvious child abuse that another father like Biden did by molesting his daughter, that would cut a little too close to his own actions to be comfortable with such an admission.  The result is that MM would have to deny what Biden did regardless of the clear evidence and the effect it had on the adult Ashley, or face the fact that his own daughter may be suffering from the same trauma, likewise resulting in drug addiction and sexual promiscuity that he may have caused in his own child. 

From my perspective, his complete denial of Ashley's claim despite the overwhelming evidence hits home with him harder than an Aaron Judge home run.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd bet that most psychologists would agree that it's a distinct possibility.
