ANd one last thing.  I never said I was going to go up there to fight.  I told him we could see if he would talk that way to my face.

Fights hurt, even when you win, you lose.

According to the US Constitution, the Legislative Branch is equal to the Executive Branch and doesn't take orders from them.

I wonder how fast the Executive Branch would change their position on the matter is the House refused to pass any legislation containing funding for the Executive Branch until they get full access to the unredacted transcripts?
“We will make the unredacted transcripts available to you for review in camera, provided that you agree in writing to abide by the commitments made on a bipartisan basis by the Select Committee — to maintain the anonymity of the four witnesses consistent with the conditions under which the witnesses agreed to appear before the Select Committee, and to prevent the disclosure of ‘operational details and private information,’” Sauber wrote in a two-page letter to Loudermilk, which was obtained by POLITICO...

The Jan. 6 select committee publicly released the vast majority of its evidence, but withheld a handful of transcripts of White House aides and Secret Service officials. Those were sent to the White House and Department of Homeland Security for further review and redaction under the terms of an agreement struck in order to interview witnesses in the first place.

Cannonpointer...every time I see the line in your signature "When you pee in the pool, have the guts to stand on the edge." I am reminded of an experience of Mike Greenberg. He was partnered with Mike Golic on "Mike and Mike"...a former morning show on ESPN. Greenberg would not let his kids pee in their pool, he made them go inside. They were at a huge BBQ in their neighborhood and his young son came to him and said "I have to go pee." Not wanting to ask the host to let them wander through his home dripping wet he told his son "Just this once, you can pee in the pool". A few minutes later he heard several guest laughing, he turned and saw his son, standing next to the pool, peeing into it.

I read that.  The question still remains, where does the Executive Branch get the authority to restrict members of the Legislative Branch from seeing unredacted transcripts of proceedings conducted by the Legislative Branch? And before you mention Executive Privilege, the time to exert that was BEFORE the staffers and Secret Service officials testified.  Once they testified, the transcript...WITH THEIR TESTIMONY...became property of the Legislative Branch.

Because said Legislative Branch restricted itself to it, by agreement with the witnesses.

As stated.

Because the testimony touched on matters relating to secret service and WH operations, the Executive branch has the right to vet it.
