Thanks for that link. Look what I found..Canon 5: A Judge Should Refrain from Political Activity(A) General Prohibitions. A judge should not:(1) act as a leader or hold any office in a political organization;(2) make speeches for a political organization or candidate, or publicly endorse or oppose a candidate for public office; or(3) solicit funds for, pay an assessment to, or make a contribution to a political organization or candidate, or attend or purchase a ticket for a dinner or other event sponsored by a political organization or candidate.(B) Resignation upon Candidacy. A judge should resign the judicial office if the judge becomes a candidate in a primary or general election for any office.(C) Other Political Activity. A judge should not engage in any other political activity.

Looks like judge Merchon violated the code of conduct 😎 I bet I could find a **** ton more violations he committed if I keep digging through that link you provided me 😆

Former White House attorney Ty Cobb predicted that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit could decide to remove Judge Aileen Cannon from the case involving former President Trump's mishandling of classified documents at his estate in Florida. Cobb told CNN that a new filing by special counsel Jack Smith makes clear that Smith could take the case up to the 11th Circuit if Cannon does not rule promptly, The Hill reports. "I think the 11th Circuit will likely take her off the case,” Cobb said. Cannon has instructed both sides in Trump’s documents case to propose jury instructions that would largely take into account Trump’s view of the Presidential Records Act (PRA), the law that dictates how records created during a president’s term must be archived.

and there is much in there to show how it is wrong for cannon to be in charge of the documents case,

-----------------------------------------------------------https://www.politico.com/news/2023/06/1 ... e-00101641

Donald Trump seemed to win the judicial lottery when his newest criminal case — a 37-count indictment for hoarding classified documents and obstructing a grand jury probe — landed before U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon.Cannon, a Trump appointee confirmed to the federal bench just days after Trump lost his reelection bid, ruled deferentially for Trump last summer when he contested the FBI’s seizure of some of those very documents. Legal experts described Cannon’s pro-Trump rulings at the time as audacious and even lawless, and a conservative appeals-court panel (which itself consisted of two other Trump appointees) quickly overruled her.
