The numbers tell me. 

Assume a family, in February 2021 (the first full month of the Biden ****) spent $1,000 on the "market basket" of items used to calculate inflation rates.  Now, apply the year-over-year inflation rates in February 2022, 2023 and 2024 (8.5% in 2022, 5% in 2023 and 3.5% in 2024) because, as you have correctly pointed out in the past, those rates are compounding.  Those items the family purchased for $1,000 in 2021 cost them $1,179.12 in 2024...an increase of 17.91%.  During that same period, the median household income in the US increased from $70,784 to $77,265...an increase of only 9.16%.  A nice increase, but much lower than the increase in prices.  And I hope that family already had a home, because they cannot afford one today...especially with the average 30-year mortgage rate going from 2.81% in February of 2021 to 7.03% in May of 2024.

I didn't say anything about the "rate of wage inflation"...those are your words, not mine.  I showed the median household income in 2021 and 2024. Anyone with basic math skills can calculate the percentage increase. In your case, you will need to ask your mommy to do that for you.
