What I said was that when I heard that Obama won the election, I immediately took drastic steps with my business in order to survive the crashing economy he would certainly cause as a result of the campaign promises he had made!  And I stated the steps that I took at that time, including the cancelling of production on a new product line I created, cut overtime out entirely to my workers, cancelled the purchase of new equipment I had just ordered the month before, I reduced my inventory, stopped all work in my R&D, and tightened my belt for the crash I knew was coming.  And in my conversations with both my customers and my suppliers, I learned that many of them were doing the same things as I was.

And THAT, my idiot friend is exactly what caused the recession to become GREAT as millions of small businesses like mine DID PRECISELY THE SAME THINGS WHEREVER POSSIBLE!  And those that were unable to take similar steps as I did for whatever reason, PROMPTLY WENT INTO BANKRUPTCY WITHIN THE NEXT 3 YEARS!

Business bankruptcies in year:
2009  60,837
2010  56,282
2011  47,806

The crash was triggered by toxic loans bundled as assets and shuffled among banks. When consumers couldn't service debts the banks imploded and credit stopped flowing.

How is that Obama's fault?

Thanks for taking the time to  provide an Insider's look at how producers of goods and services responded to what you guys could plainly see as the "Writing on the Wall"
