I always enjoy reading your posts that give an "Insider's look" at how political policy and agenda affected your business decisions. I'd rather hear it from you than the from the [[[MSM]]].
Also...thanks for being a producer of Made in America products and for providing jobs for your fellow man.
I never made ANY claims that Obama didn't inherit a recession. He did. My conclusion is simply that Obama's actions as soon as he took office turned a normal, cyclical recession into the GREAT recession, and that's based on how I responded with my own business to his new regulations and his obvious hatred for businesses. Need examples? There were plenty! Go look at his conversation with Joe the Plumber where he told him he would "spread that wealth (Joe's profits) around", or how he told business owners like myself, "You didn't build that (business)". Then go check out how business owners reacted to his lies about how great Obamacare would be, and you'll have some clue as to the damage that idiot did to the country!LowIQTrash » 08 Jun 2024, 10:35 am » wrote: ↑ The crash was triggered by toxic loans bundled as assets and shuffled among banks. How is that Obama's fault?

Is there any doubt in your mind that the roughly 165,000 businesses that went bankrupt or the 4.3 million personal bankruptcies in Obama's first 3 years in office did not result from other business owners doing exactly what I did to survive Obama's Great Recession, or that those businesses who could not do as I did were the ones who lost everything and filed for bankruptcy?
Facts suck when you're a liberal.
The average length of time a recession lasts is 10 months.LowIQTrash » 18 Jun 2024, 2:33 pm » wrote: ↑ When a recession begins, the debt spiral takes a certain amount of time to play out.
The only course to reverse such a recession quickly is to inject money directly into the economy and relieve the debt burdens upon consumers as well as SMB owners like yourself.
His regulations that you complain about didn’t take effect until long after the recession was over.
all I can say is you are letting your bias dictate that it was his fault when it wasn’t.

Obama's Great Recession lasted 18 months, nearly double that.
Beyond that you've either missed or completely ignored the reasons it lasted so long.
Just look at the campaign promises that Obama made leading up to the 2008 election.
THIS is what business owners like myself heard in those months:
Obama promised a takeover of our healthcare insurance system. The fact that he didn't actually get it done for several years was irrelevant, since his promise to do so had a dramatic effect on how business owners were going to be hurt by it.
Obama promised to introduce a cap and trade program that would have severely raised costs for all businesses, but especially those in manufacturing as my factory was.
Obama promised to reduce oil consumption by 2 million barrels per day and make all new buildings carbon neutral, or produce zero emissions.
Obama promised to eliminate special interest business deductions.
Obama promised to raise the U.S. minimum wage and index it to inflation.
Obama promised to reform bankruptcy laws.
Obama promised to expand the Family Medical Leave Act and make businesses foot the bill.
Obama promised to support mandating flexible work schedules for businesses.
Obama promised to end business tax breaks for doing business overseas.
Add to all that his promise to Joe the plumber that he would "spread the wealth around" which was nothing but pure socialism.
Then he continued to attack business owners like myself with claims that "You didn't build that", which was a clear expression of the hatred he had for business owners in an attempt to instigate class warfare.
Those promises and more told me and virtually every other business owner that in order for my company to survive, I had better take extreme measures to protect it if Obama were elected. And that's exactly what we did between Election day and the day in January he took power. Just look at the number of job losses the country suffered between November 2008 and January of 2009. Most business owners took the exact same steps as I did immediately after Election day because we all knew exactly what was coming; an immediate scapegoating of businesses like mine. So I immediately cut production right after Election day to reduce inventory, and then laid off two workers in December. I cancelled production on a new product line and cancelled the pending purchase of new machinery and equipment I had just ordered. I eliminated our R&D, and ended all overtime for my workers, and drastically reduced end of year bonuses for my employees. And my conversations with both my customers and my suppliers indicated they were all doing the same things as I was wherever possible.
THOSE actions are precisely what caused a normal, cyclical recession to become a GREAT recession, for which Obama was fully to blame. Need more proof? There was not ONE SINGLE NEWS SOURCE OR POLITICIAN anywhere in the country who referred to the recession as "Great" PRIOR TO OBAMA'S ELECTION.
But of course, Democrats and liberals alike could NEVER blame their black messiah from being the cause of it, DESPITE all the evidence!
It was 13 when Obama was sworn in, you cretinous douche. The average length of time a recession lasts is 10 months.

(Which they DID condemn him for)
Maybe you missed the fact that Occupy Wall St happened under OBAMA, not Bush?
The ACA was also condemned by the progressive left as being another insurance company handout instead of some “positive step” toward UHC.
Also you cannot blame the ACA when it didn’t even go into effect until 2011 (IIRC, might have been 2012).
The one part of your post that may have some merit is how much of a damaging effect those regulations had. Generally speaking textbook economics will say higher regulations reduce supply, but my understanding is whatever negative outcomes you attribute to Obama was macroeconomic in nature as opposed to specific laws that made doing business more costly.
You think we should have waited to see which ones would actually be invoked and risked the survival of our business and our livelihood? How many of the tens of thousands of businesses chose to do that and ended up going broke and putting millions more our of work AFTER he was elected and began implementing his radical economic polices? Granted is the fact that he wasn't able to get Obamacare passed for his first several years, but why should a business owner have waited for the inevitable after hearing his lies about it month after month in 2009? The fact is that I DID NOT cancel my employee's healthcare insurance in my company until AFTER Obamacare legislation was passed, and I was told that the plan I had DID NOT QUALIFY FOR ACCEPTANCE since it did not cover abortion costs, completely unneeded due to the fact that the only female I had working at that time was a 60+ year old secretary.November 2008: 533,000 jobs lost
