Clearly, you're unaware of the fact that climbing onboard and overloading a boat that's tied to a dock at the shoreline where the waters are always much more calm than out in the ocean is not difficult. Once the boat reaches the deeper waters of the ocean, the whitecaps can easily swamp a boat that's already floating low in the water, and you'd never be able to bail it out quickly enough to keep it from sinking.
