One of my best friends, a golf buddy, was rich as ****. The bastid died on me a couple years ago.
We spent long hours together for years sitting next to each other in a cart and never seemed to get around to talking about money. At least not in the sense of how much either of us have (or didn't have). He was a humble man.

Having been in the Detroit environs for so many years, we did cross paths with the term "*** rich" a few times.
And not always from white people, mind you.

That would manifest itself in odd little ways:
At one of the Detroit casinos, when looking for a roulette table to piss away a little money try to avoid the African that just bought $500 in color and immediately puts a stack of 10 one dollar chips on 25 numbers. He'll do it again and again.
It may take him a half an hour to lose his roll and the dealer spends most of the time counting and stacking for the Big Shot trading the same chips. They like that attention.
Then he'll drive his Cadillac back into his **** 'hood.

Splashing money is a thing for some.
Is Crazy Rich Asians a nice way to say "*** rich"? Maybe in a way.

I have several wealthy friends. I'm talking well over 1m net assets with significant pensions or investments. None of them has ever called JG Wentworth because they need cash now. Each of them started life in blue collar families. And only one of them has ever owned a new vehicle in his life. One out of the bunch is a spender. The others are on the thrifty-to-tight side of the scale. And the guy who spends is the one for whom luck played the biggest role in his accumulation. He is also the youngest and most congenitally optimistic in the bunch. All the others are wary, and they treat their money like it's something they worked hard for. 

Oh - and they never discuss money. Not in the sense of having it. They will have general discussions about how to park it - but never about how big their pile is and such. When they spend it, they do so carefully, getting the best bang for their buck. Most of them travel a good bit - a couple of them will intersect with me in their travels. Next Wednesday, one of them is landing in Florianopolis for a week to run around the island with me.  A couple of years back, the "spender" was in the Canary Islands with me for a couple of weeks. 

One big difference I've seen between whites and asians - and also between real whites and fake whites (your swarthy, hooded-eyed mediterranean types) - is the vulgar displays on necks and wrists and fingers and such. My wealthy friends don't even wear watches anymore - and when they did wear watches, they wore Citizens, not Rolexes FFS.

I was very specific, you hysterical queer. I said disaster spending - like cleaning up after a hurricane. That is the ONLY scenario in which I see any propriety in the feds giving money to the states.
